We went to celebrate Blinky's (Singer/Songwriter) 75th birthday show. It was four of us ( me, my husband, my sister, and a friend) that went.

Enjoy the show with some drinks. It's a place to watch a show, not a place to eat. The Catalina is similar to most concert venues in LA. Eat before you arrive. Have fun!

The music is great but the service, food and attitude of the staff is the worst it could be. I have been there more than once and I returned hoping it would improve, it got worse. Stay away!

This is a go-to place for jazz when in Los Angeles. The food is good --but not outstanding. Who would expect more of a venue that really is devoted to music? The price of tickets for performances and for food are very reasonable --bearing in mind...More

First of all, this club is not in Catalina. It's in the heart of Hollywood on the bottom floor of a commercial building. When the doors open you enter a really nice and spacious restaurant with all tables facing the large stage stage. The sound...More

The food is slightly elevated bar food and nothing too exciting, and the servers work hard (even dealing with snafus for reservations and computer malfunctions that seriously delay paying your bill). But the performers that get booked here are great. Almost all of the sightlines...More

Great venue to hear jazz. Good sound system, and attentive staff. The food is pedestrian, but you're there for the music. Bar knows how to make a good gin and tonic .Parking available in the building.

The food (especially the slim pickin's for vegetarians) is really average or just below average, and therefore very overpriced for what you get. But the shows are generally great entertainment, so put up with the costs and enjoy a cabaret evening if you can.
