We got to this ride early and had no real line. The effort here for getting you into the ride is amazing. The details from little pokes and puffs of air to make you think beetles are crawling on you is excellent. The roller coaster is good too, but the backwards part triggered my vertigo - so the kids went with my wife for a second ride immediately. A truly great ride all around.

If you enjoy the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland, you will enjoy this one. It is a short but fast and exhilarating ride that goes backwards and forwards. We were there on a Tuesday and we were able to walk on twice. I don't believe the lines were ever more than 5 minutes the whole day. It was amazing!

Great ride if you have older kids. Definitely would not recommend for children under 8 or so. We came here first time when my daughter was 6… Let’s just say, there were a lot of tears involved. This time around (teen) was ways more fun for both of us.

This ride was fine enough - its in the dark and you go via twists and turns but no drops or inversions etc. Its fine, but I didn't think it great or spectacular. Doing the ride again backwards sounds cool, but wasn't as interesting as I thought it might be.

Decent theming.

This ride is definitely for older kids. It is one of the few rides that goes backwards, to get back to your starting point. It is intense, read the warning/advisory board before riding. It is very fast & is completely dark. It is also extremely fun. Part of our group went on to ride again right away. If you are going to get a ride photo this is a good one for that.

Very good ride, but as the title says the actual visuals need updating compared to Harry Potter the Forbidden Journey. Was a 25 minute wait on the single rider line. This was a bit later in the day so it may be worth going at that time of day. It`s pretty dark, which added to the experience, for me at least.

This is a really nice ride, and although it has been there over 10 years, it still is really good. If there is a long queue, a good trick is to use single rider line :)

This is a fun roller coaster that I'll always ride when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood.

The Mummy movie Theme is propped well at the beginning and the stopping point of the ride. You don't see it for long because after you turn the corner you are shot into the pitch dark track. You're traveling at high speed in total darkness except for a few mummy light props until you reach a stopping point. From there, you travel backwards at high speed down the rollercoaster back to the loading area. This is a very short but exhilarating and entertaining roller coaster.

FYI. You'll have to stash your backpacks, bags, etc in the free lockers at the ride line entrance. Since the ride is so short, the rider turnover is very quick. Every time I visited with an Express Pass, I literally just walked right up into the loading area. Fantastic. Highly recommended and don't forget that Express Pass. Enjoy!

The mummy Coaster was a highlight of our Universal experience. The 4D rides are cool, but a good roller coaster is more up my alley, especially with great theming like Universal and Disney are known for. From fire and fast turns to sudden drops and even thematic acting by the crew, this ride will be one you try again and again!
