I wanted to try the VIP Tour which was over 1000+ NZD for 2 ppl. As such, I opted for the General Admission tickets for 1 day only. I know there are a few website which offer discounted tickets like Mousesavers.com but I ordered my tickets online through the Universal website which offered a discount. I suggest buying your tickets online to save a few dollars. The day we went it was $124 per person with the discount. You can however look elsewhere if you are comfortable doing this. I also got a bit worried as I purchased tickets online at 8pm the night before and I didnt receive any email with the tickets by the time I went to sleep at midnight. It didnt come through at 4am but by the time I awoke my online tickets were sent to my email inbox. Just use your phone and they will scan the bar code at the entry point, no need to go to the ticket office.

I recommend going as soon as it opens around 9am to get the full benefit of all the rides/shows. You can also spend a but more for the Express pass but even then people who opted for this had to wait a while. We went after midday & we were rushing around to see the shows, studio tour and general sightseeing. I do recommend the studio tour which shows you around the various studios and takes you through fast and furious set, Peter Jackson's Jurassic Park & other information about well.known movies & movie stars. I also suggest you see Waterworld which was interactive & eventful. Be prepared to fork out $$$ for food, memorabilia etc. Overall it was a great time had by all even though we would have preferred to see much more. Go early!

We spent a whole day at universal studios. Got there shortly after it opened and there were queues already. Thank goodness we had the express pass, was a life saverp. We had to wait for the minions ride only for 15mins, every other ride we got on almost straight away. We were able to do all the rides and roam around the studios in one day, without the express pass it wouldn’t have been possible. We even did the Harry Potter ride twice.
The magic of Christmas show at Hogwarts castle was just spectacular. Don’t miss the universal studio tour, very informative and takes you through real movie sets.
Download the free universal studios app, it’s quite useful, has show times, maps, ride wait times and other information.
Parking in the general area is not that far and we did not feel the need for paying extra for parking close by.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT TIP - AVOID carrying a bag if you can, saves so much time instead of having to queue for a locker. We travelled in winter time so jacket pockets came in quite handy.
Take your poncho for the Jurassic world ride or you have to buy them at the studios for $10. And do this ride at the end so you don’t have to carry the poncho around if you buy it there.
All in all we enjoyed our day and will highly recommend getting an express pass, even though it costed us quite a bit during peak time (Christmas break).

Definitely been in better amusement parks however this one is worth visiting especially. Universal studios. A waited one. Did the Singapore one, the rides are almost the same

Vip Pass costs around $ 409
Every bit worth the money. No line worry. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited water, drinks, name it. On the list.

Yeah yeah, expensive. If you wanna cover the part. One day ia 139$ and you may end up spending 2x days of the coverage.

I had the butterbeer and I was very excited to try it. It tasted pretty good for a few sips. But then after the foam, the drink did not taste that good anymore. It tasted watered down. I didn't even know it was cream soda. I hate cream soda so much. I was disappointed after the drink did not taste that good anymore. I had cold butterbeer.

Also, I got food poisned at simpsons land, I ate the chicken there and I instantly felt horrible. The fries and chicken were so bland, even my family can cook less bland food. It seems Knott's Berry Farm cares more about their food than universal, yes, Knott's is pretty ghetto but their food is actually pretty good.

I really loved the Harry Potter ride though. A very intense expereince, and a plus, it goes upside down. But I did get stuck on one part for a few minutes.

The Mummy ride was average. The worst part of that ride though was when you hit the brick wall, the brakes are way too aggressive, you are going about 20 mph and then a instant stop. I wish they could try to fix that. Plus, I feel like Universal should add more intense rides such as rides that go upside down.

I'm rating my expereince 2 stars, the food is not very good, I would rather eat at Knott's Berry Farm. Tickets are also very expensive, Disney is cheaper, but I guess you are paying for Harry Potter and Studio Tour. It costed about 1k for a family of 7. They had to "check" if my baby brother was a child which is really stupid. Plus, a member of my family was very mad and stormed off to our car. He went up 6 flights of escalators from the lower lot and then went to the parking garage. He then went back DOWN the escalators and returned. I was not there when that happened, I was on the Mummy Ride.

Ehh experience, prepare to be disappointed by the food, a average ride experience, and tons of escalators. Swear to god, there has to be at least 10+ escalators there. Could have made the lower lot a train experience, like you get on harry potter train and it takes you down.

Been to this park several times over the years and always had a great day. However, visited on Friday 15th April 22 and it was so crowded with some wait times up to 3 hours.
The express pass is an extra £100-£150 which makes it very expensive.
No where as good as the Florida Park and food/drink prices such a rip off.

Disappointing and underwhelming is how I'd sum up our visit to Universal Studios. Was expecting so much but it was a total let down. Not a terrible place to visit but if you're going to do so, make sure you go to Universal before you go to Disneyland because it just completely pales in comparison.

From the moment you get into the park you're huddled like animals in a paddock, cued behind the line waiting for the 'official park opening' where they'll throw down their arms like the start of a drag race and commence the inevitable mad dash to Harry Potter World.

About the only positive things at Universal are the Jurassic World ride, the studio tour (less the crappy rides on them) and the shows - the shows are great in particular the Water World show.

The Harry Potter rides are not even worth it, the ride of the hippogryph looks like an awesome roller coaster but it's actually pretty slow once you get on there and still only lasts about 20 seconds, the main Harry Potter ride is a dizzying upside down, largely simulated, ride that does have some cool stuff but found it very uncomfortable. Inside Hogwarts and Hogsmeade is really neat and well done but just so insanely busy you cant really enjoy anything.

The other rides are pretty underwhelming also, again largely simulated rides and no real roller coasters.

We got there first thing in the morning and the park was all wet, the park didnt look all that clean, no soap in the bathrooms, staff were unfriendly and looked like they didnt want to be there.. overall a very average day. The Express tickets are good to skip the line for the rides but they dont even check them when it comes to the shows. Probably wouldnt ever go back to Universal, save yourself the visit and go to Disneyland instead (or again).

We went to the Universal Studio before COVID-19, but didn’t have time to write a review. The activities are fun and geared for all the family members. However, sometimes we found lines were over 30 mins wait and tickets are very expensive.

This was on my kids’ summer bucket list. I gotta say, we all left disappointed and honestly pretty bored. It’s probably safe to say this park has seen its heyday and they are just trying to squeeze any last $$ they can from it. The strict mask policy in the heat and poor air quality had my husband ready to throw up, the lines (even for the Starbucks) were moving at a painful pace. The social distancing is kind of a joke. You wait in line with thousands of others and then they fill 1/2 the seats on the tram. I’ve had COVID, it’s doesn’t warrant the nonsense of the measures being attempted. Nothing we purchased to eat was above mediocre. Citywalk is a complete snooze, don’t even bother. We hit three rides and the 16 minute show. Is that worth the trip? No.

Best experience ever! I am lucky the theme park opened from 9am-9pm for 4th of July. Got the chance to try almost all the rides eventhough the wait times were long. Can't describe how beautiful the place is! I would definitely go again for sure! One thing to point out is that if you have a disability like me then expect walking a good distance from the garage parking to the ticket entrance passing by security as well. Unfortunately, wheelchairs and electric scooters are offered to be rented after you enter the theme park but there isn't a shuttle to get you to the entrance gate unfortunately. When you are inside the theme park, you get all kind of accomodations to enjoy the rides and go to lower level as well with the wheelchair which I really appreciated!

We were there when the gates opened and headed to the Harry Potter thing first as advised. There was a total mayhem at the bag storage room as half of the lockers did not work. After that the lining up went quite smoothly until we got to the front of the line and were told that the ride is broken and there was not an estimate how long it will take to fix it. After a few minutes we decided to leave. They got the ride fixed eventually but after that there was always at least 70-90 minute wait time for it. No ride in the world is worth that long wait. The same thing happened with the Transformers ride which was also broken when we got there and after it was fixed the wait times were 90-120 minutes. Of all of the other rides only the Simpsons one was any good. I don't like the fact that you do a lot of lining up indoors when it's nice weather outdoors but of course I understand that sometimes it's better this way.

The only salvation were the studio tour, the stunt & special effects show and the Waterworld show which was excellent. If you have the money, go for the express ticket which saves a lot of time.
