This place is a real circus! Unless you can find out where the star of the person you admire is located, you just have to walk along to see all the stars in the footpath. That is, if you can get past all the people dressed up in costume, crap hawkers, ticket sellers, etc, etc. Some interesting buildings are worth... More

Is it a cheesy tourist trap? YES Is it fun? YES It is fun to hunt down the stars of your favorite people and take photos. Just be aware it has a little bit of the Vegas Strip and Times Square feel with all the cheap stores and bad characters on the street trying to get you to pay for... More

I expected this area to be alot more upmarket but it is crowded and full of tacky souvenir shops. Be careful if you have pictures taken with Superman etc as tgey expect payments for a quick snap! Buzzing place ....comes to life at night too with plenty of places to eat and drink.

This is a must go to area. Apart from the shops, tours you can also see lots of characters dressed from your favourite movie. You will have to take plenty of cash as they like to get a tip when you take their photos.

It was ok! I liked seeing the "stars" and enjoyed the walk! But it was not what I expected! It was rather dirty and the stores and shops were meh!

There's just some much to see on Hollywood Boulevard. Walk of Fame. TCL Chinese Theatre, wax museums etc. You get the picture. If you come to LA this is a basic stop. Work it into your itinerary.

Dirty too. Hollywood Boulevard has seen better days. Like many US attractions, there is little left that is US. Just a good, interesting walk.

My first time in Hollywood Boulevard and it reminded me of NYC back in the 80's. It was a bit dirty and I saw more homeless than I expected. A lot of empty stores as well. The streets were not crowded so I liked that. It's good for a stroll but not fancy like I expected. I was not amazed.

Visited this for the first time early on a Sunday morning. We were excited to see all of the sights and found street parking, which turned out to be the best thing about this visit. We walked for blocks to see the stars on the sidewalks and other sights. Unfortunately, the area is filthy and smells horribly of urine; an... More

You have heard so much about this place that the guilt is upon you. If you don't come here, the neighbours are going to taunt you for the rest of your life. So, you decide to take time out to pay a homage to the Hollywood boulevard. The excitement wears away in a few moments and then the reality sets... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
