This could have been a good rainy day tour...had our vehicle not been a low ceiling van. They seemed to have minibuses with large, high windows. But our combined group of 6 was driven around in a car like an airport shuttle. We saw little through the smallish windows. Later when we requested transport back to the hotel, we traveled... More

Super fun...informative, definitely caught the passion that Claudette has for L.A. Although it was cold, foggy and rainy we loved it! Well worth it and Claudette totally made it for us! Thank you!

My partner and I participated in the 'Independant Day Trip to Tijuana from Los Angeles'. We were fully aware that it was not a fully guided tour. However, did not expect it to be this poor. Our tour group received very little advice on Tijuana - where to go and where to eat. We felt like we were just dropped... More

We took the advice of the lady who picked us up at the hotel for the Universal Studio tour and changed to Hollywood celebrity homes and Warner Brothers tours. We met Danny, who regaled us with stories of the stars homes as we drove through the suburbs. Most of the homes were barely visible from the street -paparrazi protection in... More

Booked three separate tours with this company before I left Australia. One to Universal Hollywood, one to San Diego Zoo and one to Legoland. Nowhere on the site did they mention that only the large coach was fitted with a toilet and was used only for very large groups - all other tours were arranged in smaller toilet-less buses. Considering... More

Took the celebrity home tour with my daughter. Lots of homes are very far from view, however some you get to see up close and personal. My favorite was the circular house on stilts that was desired on lethal weapon2. There's not alot of stopping, it's more like.. Slow down, take your picture or look at the house and leave.... More

Six and a half hour tour with Alan. He recommended the group miss the down town part of the tour and include Malibu. That was definitely a good decision. You get to see lots of star homes and also spend time on Venice Beach and Santa Monica pier. Really enjoyed both but Venice was just unusual in a fun way!!... More

We had a tour planned with starline tour, we were in a rush to reach the meeting point so we took a taxi to reach the theater, but when we arrive they just told us there was no evening tour that night, even tough I had the booking confirmation in my hands. 100$ bill of taxi and 1h30 of traffic... We couldn't not do a celebrity homes tour while we were in LA! Starline Tours seems the most popular, is advertised all over Hollywood and offers lots of different times. Our tour guide was Claudette and honestly she WAS the tour! The homes were cool to see and we enjoyed driving up and down the fancy streets of Bel Air... More

We booked a shuttle and entry into Universal for a pick up from Ayres Hotel knowing that Universal was about 45 minutes from the hotel. We booked an early morning pickup to maximise our time at Universal. We had a very nice driver collect us from the hotel but then he took us to the Starline office, apparently we needed... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
