We purchased a three day bus ticket for this, and while the first day was OK, we did the downtown route on the second day and the communication was terrible. We wanted to go to the Grammy Museum which was on the tour, and after sitting on the bus for 2 hours, the bus missed the last two stops without any announcements from the driver (nothing was said while we were boarding either). When we returned to the first top (or thereabouts) we noticed that the driver had the last two stops crossed of their list. When we returned to the kiosk (3 hours later), the rep told us it was because the president was in town. Which I understand, but there was no communication about this before or during our tour. The rep told us to speak to the supervisor, who said a refund request was reasonable, and referred us to speak to the nearby office. They told us to email, and it was resolved a week later with a partial refund. This service was just OK, but having used the alternative ‘big bus’ tours in other cities, I’d look at that first next time.

Was excited to do this tour, but from the get go was a complete let down. First off, we were in a mini-bus which had a roof and very large covered section at the front, so could barely see anything, even from the windows which were open, the driver would tell you to look up to see something, and guess what, all you could see was the roof of the bus. Also the day and time we had our tour booked, many roads were closed due to a visit to Hollywood Boulevard by the President, granted i know this wasn't the company's fault, but due to the road closures the tour started late and we missed a large portion of the tour including the view of the Hollywood sign, no compensation was offered for this. Our driver was also very unprofessional and cursed his way through the streets of LA, with children on the bus this is not acceptable at all (and still asked for a tip at the end). I think from reading other reviews they had much better drivers and a more appropriate vehicle to travel in, but be warned you could get the mini-bus which is rubbish. You would be better driving yourself and googling where the stars live. Did see some nice houses in Bel-Air but that's about it.

We had Bruce as our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. We had a great tour around all the different areas of LA and got to see some great houses! You could tell Bruce really enjoyed the job and everyone on the bus was having a good time. He is a credit to Star Line tours!

We are sorry we didnt read these reviews but we bought this one day pass from the Kiosk on Hollywood Blvd. First the bus was late, there are no clear sign as to where to meet the bus, the commentary is poor and some of the places the recording said we will see, all now we have not seen or the bus already passed it. We took the purple line to China Town but came off at the stop by the Cathedral. The bus driver did not tell us that there will be no other bus picking up at China Town so having walked to China Town we waited and waited and no bus. Eventually we called the customer service only to be told there are no more buses. We missed the last couple sites not to mention had to pay for an Uber to take us back to Santa Monica. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this company very poor service.

If I could go lower I would , worst experience on a hop on bus. The buses are old the recording is temperamental. No signs to where to re catch the bus. Drivers unhelpful, won't wait for the rest of the family to catch up and get in the bus. What a nightmare. Definitely get the big bus , a much better experience with them. No one to listen to your complaint at the starling tours .
