Shabby bus, half the audio systems weren't working. Too long to wait, just every hour. A lot of the tour was of no interest.

The bus tour itself is great and the sights and information you receive is awesome. But if you plan on getting onto your first bus anywhere other than the Dolby Theatre good luck finding the stop! The stops are not marked at all and the maps given off the tour don't include stop numbers or street addresses!

We purchased the tour as our best way to see Los Angeles at night but unfortunately we were very disappointed! The tour doesn't leave from the Chinese Theatre you have to walk up into the Shopping Centre and wait at the boarding point in the Candy Shop, although this is only a short walk there are no seats to wait.... We did the hoho tour with two little kids and it was really not worth the money! Don't spend on this if you have the possibility to go by car. We had to wait sometimes up to 40! Min until the next bus arrived. Great, with kids in the heat without sun. They should organize the schedule better or take... More

Buses very dirty and uncomfortable , headsets not reliable and the drivers very unhelpful . Cleare maps needed and sometimes the stops are impossible to find . We were VERY dissatisfied with our tour . Have done a lot of hop on hop of tours in many places around the world and this was by far the worst

My boyfriend and I went on the hop on hop off bus tour and I would definitely recommend it. It's the best way to get around and see all the sights that LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica have to offer. There's plenty of different routes which take you various places and the buses have headsets that you can... More

Did the Purple tour from near Union Station then the Red tour round Hollywood. Difficult to find the stops on a first time visit so lost over an hour waiting. Los Angeles is not a particularly scenic city and overall I was disappointed at what I saw which was mainly nondescript buildings and construction sites. The whole area was scruffy... More

I would not use the hop on hop off service again in LA/Beverly Hills. It's mostly sitting in traffic with very little commentary (when the system works) we had to swap busses as the commentary system broke down. We seen a few sites, drove past stops where we were supposed to stop and basically sat in traffic. In London they... More

We used Starline for both the hop on, hop off bus service and the tour of the Celebrity Homes. They are supposed to be the premier tour lineman LA. By scale I would not disagree but surely for such a well established company they could be better organised. On the hop on hop off bus some routes lack proper signage... More

Good service with plenty of stops to jump off at. This is the best way to see Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverley Hills. Lots of good and interesting information over earphones ie places of interest, famous peoples homes.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
