This is a great activity on a warm day/evening. The area is well-kept and clean. Shoreline Village is close, and has food/shopping/ice cream. Parking is a bit on the expensive side, but worth the money.

Good views of the harbor, the Queen Mary, the town and the marina. Nicely paved. Grass in the Shoreline Aquatic Park is well maintained.

The city of Long Beach have done themselves proud with their bike ride system along the beach and shoreline. One can never tire of pedaling around the area taking in all the sights. Pack a lunch and make a day of casual cycling, sitting and taking in the salt water air. Fantastic!

The shoreline is nice to walk around a bit. Personally I like Venice Beach better, it has more character and I suppose is more well knows. At the end of the path you will find the Belmont Memorial pier. A little disappointing, it has become a fishing hot spot, but all the dirt from the fishing is left on the railings the fishermen lean on. Still, worth doing the walk down the pier just for the sake of it.

My favorite spot for an early morning run. The path extends from the L.A. River entrance above the Queen Mary all the way to the peninsula. about 7 miles. It's lovely and well maintained. Paths are even and clean, and there are separate ones for walkers/runners and Bikes/skates/wheeled devices. Right in the middle of this sites Shoreline Village, which I love to run through and sometimes stop at for coffee. Views are lovely.
