I booked a ride with Gondola Getaway as a surprise for my wife's birthday and it was a fantastic experience. I booked the time slot of 6 to 7 and it was a perfect day with only a slight breeze and clear skies. Going through the canals of Naples was so calm and peaceful, and during golden hour right before sunset was amazing.
Our gondolier, Josh, was great and super friendly. He talked just enough to give us little tidbits and trivia about various parts of the Naples islands but didn't talk so much that it took away from the romantic and serene quality of the ride.
The ability to bring your own drinks and have an ice bucket and cups provided was great. My wife and I shared a bottle of champagne as we snuggled up under the provided blanket that was super soft and warm. I did spring for the extra 'Appetizer' add-on but was disappointed that the "Cheese, meats, and salad" turned out to be a pretty boring antipasto salad rather than a charcuterie of some kind, and there were no "Italian breadsticks" offered like advertised. However, the experience was so great that even that letdown did not detract and I will not be lowering my score because of it.
My wife and I can't wait to go back and do another ride, and we are even thinking of getting some friends together to do the Pizza and Pasta Cruise that is offered. If you are looking for a romantic activity to do with a special someone, I highly recommend Gondola Getaway as it is one of the more unique and enjoyable experiences in the area.

Surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with this activity and I’m happy to say he and I had a wonderful time. Jake was our amazing gondolier guide and he definitely made our first time memorable! Because of him, my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Jake was so positive to talk to and played very soothing Italian music on his speaker. More-so, the view during the ride was beautiful and relaxing. Loved the fact that you can bring your own drinks (which they cool for you in a bucket), as well little snacks to nibble on, and the complimentary photo is a bonus!! The only thing was finding parking but i still would highly recommend to try this activity out if you want a little taste of Italy :)

My hubby and I went last night and it was soooo nice. I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 36 years and I’ve never even heard of the City of Naples. The homes are beautiful and the scene was perfect for a romantic night. Our gondolier Giovanni was extremely personable with a great singing voice. It was a nice “getaway” to listen to his melodic voice while sipping wine and enjoying the sites.

I suggested a surprise outing for my partner’s 77th birthday. I told her it was romantic and would be an enjoyable afternoon. She bugged me for days to give her hints, but I held out. The weather was ideal that day for our 4:00 p.m. Gondola Getaway. We brought our own wine, and the gondola company provided an ice bucket and glasses for our tour. Not only was our gondolier, Logan, friendly and competent, but he was also a fabulous singer. He serenaded us with a delightful love song as we stopped under a bridge—which provided the perfect resonance for his voice. The hour-long trip gave us the opportunity to relax and see a few beautiful homes and magnificent boats on Naples Island. My partner so enjoyed the trip that she told me that I would never be able to out-do myself. (Maybe next year, I’ll suggest kitesurfing.)

It was a beautiful afternoon. Our gondolier, Jacob, was very nice and knowledgeable about the canals. He also offered to sing a couple of romantic songs as we traveled under the occasional bridge (wonderful acoustics). There was plenty of time to enjoy a bottle of wine at our leisure.

Yesterday, my date and I had the opportunity to experience the Naples Gondola getaway in Long Beach. My date had gone on the gondola getaway years ago and this was my first experience.
The weather was perfect as we made the drive to Long Beach. As we checked in, we were greeted by a very hospitable employee who asked us if we needed to place and drinks on ice and walked us through the process.
One of things I had to do was change our reservation from 5:30 to 6:00. I was surprised as it was a very busy Saturday evening when she advised that the gondolier would adjust his break time and accommodate us. In a world where customer service is lacking or nonexistent, this was a pleasant surprise.
As we waited for our time slot to come up, we were entertained by a surprisingly good play mix. The music covered many genres, but the bulk of it was from the 70s and early 80s a bit of electric funk. My date and I really felt the music and the vibe and this aided for what was going to be a wonderful experience.
Our gondolier was simply the best! His knowledge of the Naples area, and the Islands was unmatched, and he was able to provide specific information about the homes, their design, and also home real estate listings!
If you’re looking for a unique and romantic date, I would highly recommend the gondola getaway in Long Beach!

I purchased this as part of a birthday gift for my partner and I am so glad I did! Colin was our Gondolier - what a beautiful voice he has; his demeanor and cadence in speaking were also very calming and peaceful. I had purchased the message in a bottle add on and he made it very special! He sang opera to us and gave us a perfect tour of the canals of Naples, CA.
What a relaxing, beautiful, enjoyable experience. Thanks to Colin and all who run this excellent excursion.

We enjoyed a relaxing Gondola while visiting Long Beach. It was a great way to finish the sightseeing day. Our gondolier, Logan, was entertaining and made the trip very enjoyable. On top of which he serenaded us with 2 beautiful songs under the bridges which amplified his good voice. Enjoyed by all

Loved this! It was a fun way for my mom and I to spend Mother's Day bonding and was a million times more fun than the stereotypical restaurant brunch. We enjoyed it so much that we'll definitely book future family outings. Jake was our designated driver (gondolier) and he was not only attentive and accommodating, but also informative, giving us some history on the area. I can't recommend this highly enough, not only as a romantic experience, but just a fun, relaxing day.

5 STARS! Took a Gondola ride for our 42nd wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. Our Gondolier, Waylon was so kind and knowledgeable. He took us around the canal's and explained a bit of history here and there and pointed out interesting things like the house with the fake shark head sticking out. He played a little romantic music and make the date really special for me and my husband. Thank you, Gondola Getaway and Waylon. And it was free parking! Ice cream shop a short drive away. Yum!

BYOB - do you provide bottle openers? Are cups provided champagne flutes (plastic) or drinking cups?

The pricing is basically $100 for the first two guests, and $30 for each additional person up to 6.
Each Gondola is private to your group and lasts just under an hour as we glide through the Naples Islands canals.
You get to bring whatever beverages you'd like to enjoy along the way; we handle bottle-service, ice and cups, should you require.
We work on a reservation basis, so please call when ready to check availability and booking.

It's $100 for a couple for the cruise, not including gratuity for your Gondolier.
You get to bring whatever beverages you'd like to enjoy.
And, yes...you should call ahead, even if you're looking for a same day booking - which we can often accommodate.

I'm sorry...I didn't get any alerts. We have Gondolas for (2), some that can seat up to (6), and a couple that can hold up to 14-guests. Please call for availability and booking...562-433-9595
