This tour was relaxed with a great combo of Long Beach local lore and an intro to all the locally sourced, restaurants in the area. Cassidy was a delightful guide, answered our 10,000 questions and knew all the local owners. Highly recommend this tour!

The F Word - Food, Fun, Fitness ( a stroll really ); making new Friends, learning Facts; - a sense of Familiarity; some Finesse ( the delicate manner of precluding our group), and a Fabulousness.

Beach City Food Tours is a first-class ticket to the City's finest and favorable spots.

Layla the Founder & Owner has assembled a highly-likable Team in Lisa and Cassidy - and partnered with highly-delicious restauranteurs, confectioners, baristas, and any other F'er - that is anyone up for Fun.

I enjoyed every feature and morsel of the tour and certainly enjoyed the fast friendships of other tour members - albeit dining in many of the visited restaurants, time after time, this time was elevated. Attentive and special service - special tastes and considerations - and it kept an interesting pace, eat, stroll, sightsee, shop perhaps, drink, eat, repeat.

Flaming Greek Cheese - Grilled Fish Tacos - Margharita Pizza - Cold Pressed Juices - Grapefruit Infused Ice Coffee - Belgian Dark Chocolates - Key Lime Pie - and a nice LBC baseball cap purchased. That's a F'N good day =)

Bravo Beach City Food Tours - I can hardly wait for your Cocktail Tour that will be appearing in The LBC. Cheers to that.

We took the Downtown Long Beach Walking tour recently with Lisa. We lucked out with having her all to ourselves. Really nice to have a tour focus on foods that locals eat, and get a little history on the restaurant and the area. We had the flaming cheese, smoked taco (really liked this one, as it was unique and not something I've had before), pizza, fresh pressed juice, coffee, vegan donut, and pie "shot". Sadly the chocolate place was not available that day for the tour but we got an extra pie sample to make up for it. Overall, had a nice relaxing time, and a great way to spend a few hours. Thanks Lisa and Beach City tours!

The tour was well organized, with great food choices. It was a really good introduction to eating in downtown Long Beach.

Beach City Food Tours is a great introduction to the Downtown Long Beach food scene whether you are a tourist or local resident. Layla is a wonderful guide and teaches you about the history and architecture of the area as well as the restaurants. The “tastes” were delicious and left me wanting to come back for more! Thank you for a great experience, Layla!

Lisa was a great guide! Her knowledge of the city really added to the tour. The food samples were tasty. In fact, I could use another vegan doughnut!! We paid an additional $15 to the tour cost to add alcohol. Unfortunately, there was only a very small taste of wine at one location and a cider (or beer choice) at another. I think either reduce the cost of adding the alcohol or add more alcohol tasting to the tour. Otherwise, I highly recommend the tour.

On a lark, my daughter and I decided to have one last summer fling before all the routine of fall, school, and work set in once again. BUT. . . it couldn't be too far, couldn't last too long, couldn't cost too much and couldn't be too strenuous (I had strained my back the day before). After viewing endless possibilities, we finally settled on this Beach City Food Tour, and it met our every requirement and far exceeded our expectations! It was great!

We met our guide, Lisa, at George's Greek Cafe and were joined by two other women who were taking the tour. Lisa was friendly, easy to talk to and had a remarkable knowledge of the history of Long Beach. I have spent some time in Long Beach over the years (we live in Torrance), but I sure learned a lot, and things have changed since I was last there.

What I think I liked most about the tour is that it was low key and unpretentious. We went to eight different places and had just enough food to satisfy us without us feeling stuffed, and no pressure to buy anything else. All of the places were, I think, owned by locals, no chains, and places you would feel comfortable going. So we went to George's Greek Cafe for cheese and pita, Pier 76 Fish Grill for a delicious fish taco, Michael's Pizzeria for a thin-crusted (was it neapolitan?) pizza, Rainbow Juices (that was really good and something completely different!), Recreational Coffee (weird, yet different and tasty), The Pie Bar (great key lime pie shots) and Romeo Chocolates (I had a churro chocolate -- yummy!). We also spent some time exploring the MADE by Millworks shop, which was filled with all different types of crafts made by local artisans.

It was a three hour tour, but truly, the time flew by. It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon, and even though the temperature was soaring, the fact that we were in and out of shops so often made it quite pleasant. I would definitely recommend this tour, and look forward to their soon-to-come cocktail tour!!

I highly recommend going on Beach City Food Tours. I have been a Long Beach resident going on four years now and still needed explore the restaurants downtown. It was a no brainer to go on the tour when all my "to do" restaurants were on the tour.

The tour started off with a "show" of flaming cheese and finished with delightful pie as dessert. In between each restaurant, the tour guide highlighted historical buildings and art installations in downtown. Spacing and route of each restaurant was strategically thought through to ensure a scenic route while also allowing food to settle. The food was delicious, portions were satisfying and at the end of the tour I didn't feel stuffed. Looking forward to my next food tour.

Favorites: flaming cheese, basil-grapefruit iced coffee with vegan churro donut, and key lime pie shot. Discount coupons to each restaurant were also a plus 👌
