I will start by saying the grounds are beautiful! We enjoyed being outside in the vineyards and loved the views until the wind picked up. We had a group of 20 that went to wine taste and sat outside in the grass to start. There was no weather back up for us to move too so we had to stay... More

At 1st we were not sure. Once we got there it was amazing. Never judge a book by its cover.. The set up of the vinyard grounds is beautiful. No food but you can take for lunch and snack and have it on the picnic tables right next to the vinyard.. that view doesn't get any better....

One of the best wineries in this area of the Central Coast. Staff is very friendly and provides a wonderful wine tasting experience. Bring a lunch and purchase a glass of the wine you like best and enjoy the patio.

The grounds were beautiful for a tasting! There are outside tables and the views of the vines are really nice. The wine was good, not as tasty as some others but we enjoyed ourselves. They are right next door to Babcock Winery, so you should visit both to compare.

Melville Winery has long been known for its top quality, highly rated Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay. I highly recommend it when telling people about which wineries they should visit if they want an excellent wine tasting experience in the Santa Rita Hills AVA. The wine is fantastic, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the venue is spacious... More

They have great Pinot noirs and had a great estate Syrah on their estate wine tasting menu. The wine taste pourer was very knowledgeable and a great resource about their vintages overall.

My wife and I like their Pinot Noir. They have a couple of very good Pinot Noir wines that are very good, but over my price limit of $50. My preference for the under $50 pinot noir is the Santa Rita Hills Estate Pinot Noir. You do have to purchase three bottles to get the tasting fee waived. Very nice... More

If you love some amazing Pinot Noir, this is a must stop. The wines are well made and highlight the character of the Santa Rita Hills AVA. Easy stop on the way to the Lompoc Wine Ghetto.

We loved their Pinot Noir, especially the (pricey) Block M! Had a wonderful 2-hour tasting and picnic lunch on a quiet Monday. Met a couple fro Ventura who are wine club members, and shared a fun and lively chat with them while enjoying the superb Melville wines. The Chard was a bit spicy and dry, the Rose a bit light... Love the pinot and chardonnay is good, too! Beautiful tasting room with a peaceful picnic area. Bill was a great host for wine tasting and a personal tour.
