This is a very quaint small local winery. Very friendly and love the farm animals! They have some outdoor seating and very relaxed atmosphere. The wine is very good. And good prices. Just a nice relaxing place and not pretentious at all.

This was one of the best winery tastings we had while visiting Lodi. The atmosphere was very relaxed and all of the wines were amazing! I would highly recommend visiting this winery.

We did not know anything about this winery. We had the best visit. It was so great to see all of the history from the owner Wanda! We loved the wines and even joined their wine club! A beautiful day and wonderful experience!

What a nice setting on a family farm with beauty around and sharing the history of the struggles and success though the times.

I visited here today based on a friend's recommendation It was such a lovely surprise. Nothing pretentious about this place. The buildings are old and the staff are friendly and reach out to make guests feel at home.
I sat with Wanda, the family matriarch, for 2 hours and was engaged by her depiction of her family's history. She spent years sorting through old pictures to produce a historical book about the story of her ancestors who came to Lodi from Germany to benefit from the Gold Rush. Her son, winemaker Greg and his wife,LInda, were so friendly and courteous. There are Saturday night concerts under the old oak trees. I got my "fix" of well cared for horses, wine, and history in one memorable afternoon. I like the old vine Zin and dessert wines. Thank you!

Some of the best wine in Lodi and one of the most fun experiences you will have in a tasting room.

Attended the concert series here for 5 years running. Always a peaceful and comfortable afternoon/evening under the shade of the oaks..helps that my wife is always along. We relax, play backgammon and plenty of dancing. The selection of food vendors is excellent and Jesse's wine is available for purchase. Greg and his staff ensure a safe and comfortable venue. Recommend this hidden jewel of the Lodi wine country. A must to visit

We were at Jessie's Grove winery as a stop on the Sip Shuttle. It's an old farm and is shady and quaint. We enjoyed the horses and farm ambiance. Their wines were nice. On the minus side...The server in the tasting room thought she was clever and witty but was actually quite rude to several of our group that were looking at T-shirts that were for sale in the tasting room. Comments like..."are you here to taste wine or buy a t-shirt?" ...and "Walmart is just down the road"...were snarkey and uncalled for. The owner should find someone who likes people to work in their business.

The tours are fun, the wines available for tasing were enjoyable. We bought some wine to go with a picnic lunch we had brought. There are tables out away from the buildings.

This winery should be at the top of your list. Jessie's Grove is like taking a walk back in time. So much history there to go along with great wines ! Old vine Zins are just amazing here. The small tasting room is darling and well staffed with friendly folks. Walk the farm grounds to see the old barn, roosters, chickens, turtles etc. We are told that the elderly mother who lives on property will come out to tell some historical tales from the early days of this upstart winery. It was too hot for her the day we were there but hopefully we can catch one of her colorful stories on our next visit. Really - do not miss this place!
