We received recommendations from a couple of servers to visit Oak farms for both tasting red wines and history. The setting is a farm with a beautiful large barn goats, two rescue horses, chickens cats and one giant tortoise. The staff were very welcoming and informative and we loved seeing the family pictures and hearing about Jessie and five generations of farmers snd wine growers. We tried some unusual and interesting varietals. Barbera and Zinfandels were tasty. After our tasting we took a walk around the farm and visited the animals. We also Love that they are harvest hosts and allow RVers to stay on property for free

Post holiday weekend, we took a day trip to Lodi. We hadn't been there before and since we love us some good wine, we thought we hit up one of two while in the area. This was the first stop. Becky, who was behind the bar was totally friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Jessie's has some very good reds. The venue is old and original with buildings dating back to the late 1800's. This winery has been in the family forever and it's really worth a visit if you haven't been.

We have stopped at Jessie’s Grove twice on our trip to Lodi, Ca. The friendly staff welcomes you and treats you like long lost besties. They’re hospitable without a hard sell. The grounds are charming with an old farm vibe. You can actually camp at Jessie’s Grove with a self contained RV through Harvest Host. They have concerts in the grove during summer months. I highly recommend a stop there.
