Berghold has everything we wanted in wine tasting: (1) good wines, (2) small, local, family-owned winery with wines only available at the winery, (3) friendly, knowledgeable staff and (4) beautiful grounds. What was icing on the cake was all the refinished antique decorations. It almost felt like we went inside a mini museum, which makes the wine tasting experience more... More

This place is beautiful with walls lined with antique confessionals from churches from the Eastern U.S. The owner spent time with us and was delightful. I'm not a wine drinker, but my husband loves good wine, does lots of winery visits around the world and felt that the Crankcase Red and another red were some of the best he'd ever... More

This was our first stop on our wine tasting tour and possible the most beautiful. This place compares with some of the better tasting rooms in Napa Valley. Lots of expensive stuff around the tasting room. The wines were all good but none of them were better that wines that I had tasted in southern Oregon. The wine expert in... More

Beautiful winery with gorgeous gardens, outdoor seating, and eclectic tasting rooms filled with antique furniture, knick knacks, tapestries, and gifts. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines, without being stuffy. They want you to roam and enjoy their rooms and property while tasting their wine. Huge fan of the Footstomp Zin!

We visited several wineries in Lodi, and this one was our favorite! Our wine-tender, Rich, was so friendly, informative and accommodating. He told us the histories of a lot of the beautiful antiques all over the tasting room, and gave us some good wine wisdom as well. We came with a relatively large group, and he catered to us all.... We were blown away with Berghold Winery. Be sure and take your time when you visit. It's like a museum of incredible antiques, combined with a wonderful gift selection and exceptional wines. We even joined the wine club before we left. Now looking forward to our first shipment in November. We found the Bergholds to be charming hosts, humorous and very... More

Berghold used to be a favorite of ours for Lodi wine tasting. The wines are great, the facility beautiful and I had taken groups of 8 to 14 people (with reservations made prior) in the past and had a great time. I recommended Berghold to a friend planning a group tasting day for 12. She called to make a group... More

A friend of mine told me about this amazing winery in Lori that not only had wonderful wines but an interesting venue and very knowledgeable staff. Since our initial visit, we have visited twice and purchased a wine club membership. Their wines are very tasty and satisfying and you cannot possibly take in all of the things to see during... This place almost looked like a tuscan church. It is big, grounds well manicured, and has a lot of old antiques with great stories behind them. The wines are well crafted, and the owner visited and helped pour. It is a must stop place if you are wine tasting in Lodi. The tasting room is very classy and elegant, and the... More
