LLNL is a great place to see real science in application. The public tours must be booked in advance on the website. Our guides were retired engineers who knew Sooo much about the whole workings. Great to know science, real science, no fake science, is...More

The small center features programs for students, with interactive displays. The adults will enjoy the detailed wall displays of pictures and history of the Lab, Dr. Lawrence, and the contributions to the country's defense as well as its work in conservation.

Stopped off on the way to the airport to waste a little time. Given a detailed and very informative tour by the man in charge. Well worth the visit.

This is a great place for an hour's stop. The exhibits range from in-depth to hands-on activities for young children and others suited for all ages. This is a US government operation so there is no charge and there is no gift shop.

for all ages. The kids and the parents liked it. They have a scavenger hunt for kids with prizes. Fun way to learn. Displays are nicely done. Not a real big place so an hour will do. Nice stop.

Loved the tour. Even if my relatives and friends didn't work there I give it a 5/5. You do need to plan ahead so they can do a quick background check. The last Star Trek movie has scenes from the lab.

If you are at all interested in science, and are in the area, definitely do this. You will need to make arrangements in advance inasmuch as tour groups are small. Our guides were excellent.
