I went in and from the start this place has my vote. It is within walking distance of my house is the best part. I LOVE the park setting. I love the historic value about the place, that it shows. Also you can pick a grape where you park the car. That there is cool. They have a "first flight"... More

This winery is smaller and makes you feel at home. The type of place you can show up in shorts and sandles and kick back. There is a large lawn area for kiddos to run around while you sip on their delicious wines. Occasionally they have smores and a fire going.

Mr. Michel Lefort attended to me and was extremely warm and proud of his wine. Im extremely delighted to have visited his winery and farm which i felt was one of the best tasting wine. Thanks for the hospitality and the great ambient that you have! Glad i stopped by, i am very impressed with the knowledge and introduction of... More

We never would have visited this winery if we had not been lucky enough to have friends on their second visit. The atmosphere is informal, and feels more like visiting old friends at their ranch. The wine was good, and our server was involved in the wine making process, not just someone reciting tasting notes from behind the counter. While... More

Poor customer service! I came here with a group of 8 friends on 4/23 in the late afternoon. An old lady and young lady were the pourers. They were not very friendly at all. I've been going to Sonoma for their Barrel Tasting every year for 8 years now and was just recently in Napa (been there many times too) but... More

you absolutely must go to Retzlaff - their wines are comparable to Bordeaux in complexity. and visiting with Michel make the experience memorable. The venue is picturesque, and the homey feel is not found often these days. Certainly should be high on list of places to go in Livermore.

We met Bob Taylor in the early 1990s and loved his wines. By the time we left CA in 1998 to sail for the second half of our lives, his son had taken the lead as the wine maker. We traveled from Los Altos to enjoy barrel tastings and order next years wines futures and were never disappointed. On one... More

Retzlaff is one of the smaller wineries in Livermore. If you go during the week, it feels as if you are visiting friends who own a vineyard. Bring a picnic and purchase a bottle or two of their excellent wine and enjoy life. Their Rose is particularly refreshing with cheese and crackers.

Family owned and run winery which specializes in organic wines only. Friendly and informative family members staff the tasting room. Has some excellent vintages for purchase. A great place to take friends from out of town for a taste of the true Livermore wine experience.

This joint is one of a few in the area that is family and dog friendly. The tasting room is small like others have stated but the grounds are awesome. The prices are reasonable and they have a real bathroom. Trust me this is important, porta-johns are not fun ever but especially when it's 100+ degrees outside. Parking is adequate... More

Thanks so much for your complementary words. We agree - blue rooms are worse on hot days. I just wanted to let everybody know they those old blue cesspools of necessity are no more. WE NOW HAVE PROPER RESTROOMS YEA!! Come and check them out. Bring a picnic and try some nice wines while you are at it! Cheers Aaron More
