A group of us (five friends and I) went wine tasting in Livermore this past weekend. We had the pleasure of visiting Steven Kent. We had 4 wines and we were given the time to taste and comment about the wine both with a knowledgeable server and among ourselves. The white a blend was refreshing. The Cabernet Franc was 100%... Girls weekend. Fun with friends at a great professional accommodating location. The Bubbles class was both informative and fun.

We went to the Livermore Winery Association Holiday in the Vineyards Events. Participating wineries such as Kent have a holiday celebration with wine tasting and also invite vendors in to sell items. This is a nice tasting room in Livermore. There is also a nice patio area. We enjoyed our wine tasting.

My mom in Kansas loves "Lola" so anytime I'm in Livermore we stop here and pick her up a bottle or two. They have very good wines and wave the tasting fee with purchase of bottles.

Steven makes some of the best Cab wines and great red wines. It is a don't miss for those who love great red wine. There are different types of tastings available and it is an enjoyable place to enjoy wine both inside or out on the patio. Many of the staff are very knowledgeable and can tell you a great... More

Wow. I left the Bay Area a long time ago and haven't had many chances to visit wine country since. And I thought wine country still meant Napa, Sonoma, Russian River valley. I can't believe I was completely ignorant about the Livermore Valley and wineries like Steven Kent until this year, but what a revelation! Their Merrillee is now my... More

My boyfriend and I were doing some wine tasting in the area and decided to stop by for a tasting. They were hosting a private event, so they weren't doing any tastings that day; the were only selling bottles and glasses outside. Service wasn't very good. The wine-tenders were too busy socializing with each other, and clearly weren't too concerned... More

We were able to get a private tasting in the club room with Greg Lamberg when we visited this winery. Greg's tasting was full of fun and education - and we came away with a better understanding of Steven Kent's wines, but also with the history of wine in The Livermore Valley and the present wine making stories of the... Recommending a winery is always difficult because you don't know why people are visiting. My husband and I love wine so Steven Kent is an automatic stop from the airport. He makes amazing reds, any varietal. And he does in Livermore Valley what others don't seem to be able to do - make great wine. It is the world's greatest... More
