What a great way to ride on the SF bay, see the skyline, and arrive in the downtown area (Market St.) without any traffic hassles from Marin. The only downside to this about 40 minute ride is the limited schedule during the daytime and night...More

Like many others taking the ferry from Sausalito, we rented bikes from SF and rode over. When we (there were two of us) finally made it to the front to board with our bikes, we encountered a ticketing issue and tried to resolve it, with...More

We sailed on the Golden Gate Ferry 4 times over a weekend - Saturday and Sunday. The service is a time and cost efficient way of traveling from Larkspur/Marin into San Fransisco. The ferry takes in views of the 3 bridges and other iconic views...More

Love taking the ferry from Larkspur into the city. Usually a smooth ride, reasonably priced (especially for seniors!) and saves the hassle of having a car when you arrive. Lets you off at the Ferry Building, which is worth a visit, especially if you're hungry!

We came down from Sebastopol to see a ballgame and instead of driving into the city, we took the ferry. Parking can be problematic at the ferry terminal due to limited space. It is about a 45 minute run to AT&T and ties up right...More

I'm wondering if anyone who parked at the Larkspur Ferry terminal did so mid-morning on a weekday. I'm planning to take the 10:10 ferry on a weekday, but am concerned about whether there will still be parking available that late (in the overflow lot is fine). Thanks!

I never had a problem. Check to see if the ferry you are taking is running. We drove in for a 10: am ferry and mechanical problems had canceled that one trip.

You can buy it off the machines near the Bart stations, for the ferry ride we had bought it just before boarding. There are handful of machines that can vend out tickets.
