A store of the likes I have never seen, the idea behind the store is inspiring, supporting local artists and global fair trade artists is not something you get to experience everyday. The owners of the store are really friendly and very eager to share all the wonderful stories about how each item has made it to their store and the whole meaning behind it. They really care about other people and you can come in to ask questions even if you'r not from around the area. In the time I was visiting I got to see how much they love meeting new people. In the back they have created a serene and calming space where you have a beautiful view on the ocean. All in all, they have created a magical place and I love spending time there. You know you are in for a treat when you just enter the shop when you experience the wonderful smell of the scented candles. It's truly a worthwhile experience to visit if you are in the area.

Visiting this store was absolutely incredible. The staff made me feel so welcome and the change that she is making in the world is going to effect SO many people. There are items in this store that are made by the women in India that are so unique and beautiful. The veranda on the back of the store is so serene you can’t help but want to spend time there. Can’t wait to visit again!

Having read all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, my daughter and I made a real effort to come into this store on Christmas Eve while visiting the area. What an incredible disappointment! While there are definitely some nice pieces here, the selection was quite limited and the vibe was entirely disinterested. The woman at the desk in the back didn't even look up as we looked around. I'm the sort of person who usually loves places like this and was really ready to love it but we left after 10 minutes feeling like we had wasted a trip.

Response from BuyHand, Owner at Buy Hand
Responded Dec 26, 2017
I am sorry to hear of your experience in our store on Christmas eve. I was working that day and was battling an internet problem that was causing credit card processing troubles (on the busiest sales day of the year!). In trying to resolve the issue, it seems that I may not have been as attentive to customers as I usually am. We at Buy Hand strive to provide a friendly service but failed to do so on your visit due to some unfortunate circumstances. Please accept our apologies. While our store did not live up to your expectations on that day, we do appreciate that you frequent small independent businesses like ours on your travels. Independent businesses need thoughtful, caring customers like you to survive. We hope that if you are back in Laguna Beach in the future, you will give us a chance to show you our best.

Three of us popped into this store during a weekend in Laguna. Immediately there was such a positive energy we felt and the items for purchase...clothing, jewelry, decorative pieces for the home...were all interesting, unique and lovely. The owners are sisters who return a percentage of the store sales with the manufacturers of the products as part of a global trade arrangement. The goods are made by women around the world which allows them to improve their lives and economics. Shopping with integrity and purpose makes the purchases even more delightful. The owners are so amiable and the store offers a peacefulness unmatched in Laguna!

I was staying in Laguna Beach & happened upon this wonderful shop with my friend! The owner is very kind & friendly and very helpful. We tried on several wraps of beautiful fabric & then the owner told us the story behind the products - that her aunt, who lives in India, helps bring women out of poverty, by teaching them how to create these beautiful products which are sold in the shop in Laguna. The shop carries all sorts of things - from baby, to apparel, to home & gifts. Really worth a visit!
