Awesome views!

Unbelievable views of the Pacific, canyons, and mountains! Would have rated 5 stars if the trails were marked with the trail names, distance, direction, and difficulty level. Also... read more

Unbelievable views of the Pacific, canyons, and mountains! Would have rated 5 stars if the trails were marked with the trail names, distance, direction, and difficulty level. Also was difficult to find the posted map. One of the informational signs for the mountain range view was totally illegible and needs to be replaced. Would be nice if paper maps were... More

They don't call it Top of the World" park for nothing! We set out on what we thought would be a 5 mile hike. It ended up being 8 miles because we missed a turn somewhere! We actually took a picture of the trail map and I think we got so caught up we weren't paying attention to where we... More

This place, also called Top of the World because that's exactly how you will feel is well worth the short drive from the beach. It's especially popular at sunset and that draws me to it if I'm in the area. There's street parking and a short walk for us on 2 or 4 wheels to get to the viewing area... More

This park at the famous Top of the World offers play for children of all ages and a wonderful view of Saddleback and, with a short walk, the Pacific.

This part is not to be missed if you are visiting Laguna Beach. Park and walk around. You will see mountains and ocean...at the same time!

The City and people of Laguna Beach created a "Greenbelt" around their town. There is no other location to see their efforts than from this park. In one direction there is Saddleback Mountain and orange county, in another the canyon, and in another the beautiful Pacific Ocean. What a spectacular view and a wonderful hiking or biking environment. There really... More

Outside of Hiesler Park, the Top of World Lookout, accessible through Alta Laguna Park, has the best views of the area. You get a 360 degree view of the entire region and at least when I was up there, it looked like you are standing at the same elevation as the clouds. Also, a side note, the drive up to... More

The hike here is entitled On Top of the World. It's a great place to start a hike and they do have plenty of maps. Bring your sunscreen this area has no shade and you do get burned up there. There are a bunch of different trails you can take. You can hike for one hour or 8 whatever you... More

We spent a morning hiking in the park, including the uphill trek on the Car Wreck Trail. The main trail is wide and there were quite a few hikers on it; the crowds thinned out with the more narrow trails. We climbed the Car Wreck Trail from the bottom to the top; the reverse route would be much easier. This... More

It's pretty cool to start a hike at the top. The views at the top of the world are spectacular. You can see all the different hills and valleys and the ocean. The hikes all go down with different grades and you do have to hide all the way back up, but its not as bad as it looks. There... More
