what a ton of fun! E-bikes worked great for me, wifey, and the 2 daughters. We all had an excellent time riding thru the Laguna Hills, canyons, and downtown Laguna Beach on a half day ride. Service and assistance getting comfortable with bikes was very personalized and truly top shelf! 10 out of 10! Can't wait to get back to Laguna Beach and La Vida Laguna to do it again! Highly recommend!

I came down all the way from the San Fernando Valley to take a class with Jason and had a great time! Before heading down to the beach he prepped us on what to expect as far the weather and water conditions, gave us really nice big blue surf boards to train on and we were on our way.
Down at the beach Jason showed us how to position ourselves on the board and when to pop up on it during a wave. The several times I "surfed" before I was never able to actually stand and balance. Fortunately this time Jason saw what my issues were and helped me fix them quickly (foot positioning was wrong, I was standing up to early, etc). This time around when I caught my first wave I actually stood up and surfed all the way down to the beach (something I was unable to do last year). The rest of the lesson was looking for the right wave and timing, and I had a great time!
I'm sure La Via Laguna has a few other great instructors but Jason was tremendous in showing the correct ways to surf that day. The weather was beautiful and the waves at this location is great for beginners. I will definitely be taking these classes again to refine my surfing skills and I highly recommend anyone looking for a good beginner course to take your lessons here.

Our hotel recommended the e-bike ride from La Vida Laguna as a good way to explore Laguna. She wasn't wrong. Doug was amazing and so knowledgeable. He made the ride fun, gave us just enough "insider info" to intrigue my husband, but not to the point of boring me. The bikes are great and very easy to use, making the trek into the canyon even more enjoyable. We're thinking of doing a kayak or paddle board excursion with La Vida Laguna when we return.

You know you’ve found a gem when people are busy sharing their love for life through their craft. No bigger smiles have been captured of my 10 year old son than surfing during lessons offered up by La Vida Laguna. Every staff member is *top* quality. I highly recommend Doug and LVL. It was a pleasure to ride with him, as it was my first time visiting Laguna and believe it or not, he's like a local celebrity, when we went around the city, everyone recognized him and greeted him by his first name. He's just a friendly guy, and always willing to help. The bikes are also in great condition, and I'll sure be back, thank you Doug and LVL!

I often do this tour when I visit Laguna Beach, a 90 minute paddle around bays, reefs and beaches in Laguna. You see sea lions, colorful fish like Garibaldi, porpoises, kelp beds, sometimes even whales. Very easy beginner kayak paddling, water is generally quite protected and easy to navigate. Guides are super knowledgeable & provide lots of interesting information and stories not only about the ocean and its sea life but about living in Laguna and the things that go on here. If you are visiting Laguna beach or a nearby community, this is a fun diversion for couples or families.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 2-hour eBike tour. Our tour guide (Rob) took us on some back roads and he shared quite a bit of history about Laguna with us. It was our first time on an eBike but we got the hang of it very quickly. The tour took us on quite a bit of hilly roads that were very easy to climb and navigate with the eBike. I highly recommend this tour if you really want to learn more about Laguna's history. We saw a lot of neat houses and country side. Our tour guide made frequent stops so we could take pictures as well. The tour ended in Heisler Park which has beautiful beaches. I highly recommend this eBike tour!

I gave a surfing lesson to my daughter for her 16th birthday. She had never surfed before so she was nervous. Doug was very welcoming as we walked in the door, allaying her fears. The people who helped her to surf were attentive and instructive. Overall, it was a great experience.

My sons & their friend had the best surfing lesson of their lives. All three boys had surfed before but would be considered beginners. The lessons are designed for success with some on the beach instruction prior to getting in the water. Once in the water it became very apparent how perfect the small group was for the boys because the instructor spent time with each boy, helping them to find the perfect wave. The instructor was from the area, very friendly, positive & knowledgable. Each boy was catching waves into the beach by the end of the lesson. I almost can't believe it as I write it... towards the end a the lesson I see the boys and their instructor laying on their boards looking out and then a whale pops up. Magical is the word that comes to mind. The whole experience was incredible and the boys all agreed that it was the highlight of the trip to SoCal. We 100% recommend!!

We had a great experience with Jeff as our guide! Everything was explained thoroughly (the kayak how to’s and safety) and the knowledge that Jeff shared with us about the ocean, local marine life, history of Laguna, etc. was amazing! We were able to see numerous different types of fish and birds, and the cutest seal swimming in the kelp forest! We could not have asked for a better first time ocean kayak experience and I highly recommend LaVida Laguna no matter your experience level. Their website was so easy to use to book our trip and Jeff and Billy were friendly, professional, and you can tell they love and are passionate about what they do. Definitely a 5 star experience!
