My childhhod second home
Oct 2019
Aside from my mom teaching Sunday school both my parents were also ushers. My boy scout troop. Troop 35, met there every wed night. The building has been added onto through the years but the chapel and its tower are iconic ! The rose gardens are still there by my admission of getting pricked when taking one for my mom. It's one of the most unusual sites downtown as most buildings have been remodeled. The tall eucalyptus trees line the streets, another commonality of Laguna. I once, at the ripe age of four, ran from the church to avoid my brother and ran into a wall, cutting open my scalp. As my mom and dad were shaking hands with our minister I ran up to them with blood pouring through my fingers. Fortunately our family doctor, Dr Ralston, was there to sew me up !

BORING
Aug 2018
It was quote bland. Don't waste your time here. Definitely try the Mission at Capistrano. The mass on Saturday was quite enjoyable and spiritual(holy experience). People were very friendly, beautiful historic mission with so much character. Peaceful. Every Christian should go to Mission Capistrano instead

An anchor in the community
Jan 2018 • Couples
The church does an excellent job of serviing the community in a number of ways that aren't necessarily spiritual. It runs a daycare center, hosts a city blood-drive with Red Cross, and it strives to offer wedding planning location services, too.

The directory of the church campus is huge; we did not think it covered so much territory. We strolled through the rose garden and were thankful for this bit of serenity in a hectic setting.

It looked so pretty, but we couldn't see the inside because the hours were scattered here and there throughout the week

Beautiful church, nice Sunday services
Aug 2017 • Couples
Beautiful Mission style church built in the 30's & still mostly unchanged.
Sunday service is traditional Presbyterian format followed by coffee hour in the Sodial hall. Good sermons, fresh flowers, new & traditional hymns. full choir with soloists. Three ministers +two parish associates. Close to cafe's and the firehouse at the end of the shopping streets. Nice congregation spans the age ranges.
Involved in many important projects and outreach activities.
Relaxed dress code. shorts & sandals OK>

Beautiful Spanish Revival Church
Jun 2016 • Couples
This 1927 Spanish Revival Church captures the eye with its bright white exterior, red-tiled roof and beautiful stained glass windows. While exploring downtown Laguna Beach, we visited the Laguna Presbyterian Church and the surrounding tranquil gardens.. A rose garden, shaded benches and covered patio are relaxing places to visit and take a break. Visitors walked through the gorgeous gardens while locals were reading, sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet of the well-manicured church grounds and peaceful cloisters. Beautiful. Very highly recommended.
