Sadly, many visitors to the Coachella Valley who come to play golf stick to courses directly associated with the resort they're staying out. This means they miss many of the great public courses of which SilverRock is a true stand out. There aren't any houses to be found on the course just wonderful desert landscape, the steep and rugged walls... More

This, in my opinion, is one of the best courses in Southern California. Of course I haven't played them all, but of the ones I have played I rate this number one.

Love this course. This is a great challenging course and worth the price for the beautiful surroundings and play.

The course was beautiful, with a rugged, mountain back drop. It very challenging given the placement of the sand traps, so I would not recommend this for someone new to the game. If you like a challenge... enjoy the interesting layout and the stunning views. I played with my family (two pretty serious golfers and two recreational golfers) and while... More

This is an excellent golf course. However, you need to know where the trouble is located on this course or pay attention to your GPS. The layout is interesting and the greens roll true. There are also a number of tee boxes for all skill levels. We also have some great pictures of some desert bighorn sheep. The steep rocky... More

I did not stay at or golf at this resort. I had breakfast there twice. They have a beautiful outdoor dining area that looks in total disarray because most of the tables are jammed up together, unset, and in need of wiping down from the previous evenings dust. The way the tables are jammed, they look like they were dropped... More

This a a great track. Perfect conditions, water hazards, tons of sand, undulations, scenic, challenging and just a fun test of golf. Great staff, great food, great time. I will come back for the golf, and the beautiful Bighorn Sheep.

The course hugs the mountain range, providing something new around each corner. The bighorn sheep come down to graze on fresh grass in the afternoon... and couldn't be bothered by your playing through. The clubhouse & food leave much to be desired, but there are plenty of good restaurants in La Quinta & El Paseo for a good meal.

Developers plans don't always work out. Silver Rock is one of those facilities that has been through a few transitions since conceptualized. But for golf purists, it has succeeded and retained a measure of quality not found in most public access golf courses. Service is exceptional from arrival to departure. The course is unforgettable and always in top condition. If... More

Great course. Well maintained all around. Watch for big horn sheep on course. Stunning mountain views. All holes are well protected by deep sand bunkers. Local knowledge is key. Great GPS on carts that gives you interactive measurements by touching the screen where you plan to hit. $25 fee for a non golfer to ride along which I thought was... More
