Simply beautiful layout and scenery around this course. The better of the two La Quinta branded courses, pricier but worth it. Efficient play with course well monitored so all enjoy an under 4 hour round. Challenging with excellent course conditions.

We enjoyed our round but we were constantly having to guess where bunkers were and even which way to hit the ball off the tee. This course is overpriced. No GPS on carts no course map. Oh we were told after the round that we could download an App free or buy a course yardage book at the pro shop.... More

The setting and layout of this course never fails to impress. And the overall experience is always fantastic. Staff are welcoming, efficient and helpful. Particularly Tim the genial Starter... My wife and I both walked and carried and this adds to the enjoyment tremendously. And when we played our rounds early we were round, as a 3 ball in 3... More

It may have been one of those days on the golf course but this round at the mountain course was a bit hard. I made some pars but some holes were very challenging. it was a fun day and very scenic. price was good at 109.00

What a great assortment of layouts and ample challenge for any level. The setting is lovely at the foot of the reddish Santa Rosa Mountains, but that makes dark arrive early, so plan accordingly. 4 hour round was not hard to accomplish. Terrific staff and Pros, very nice teaching there--Brian Mahoney was excellent.

I was quite impressed with the Mountain Course. The driving range was top notch as was the service. The course itself was very picturesque with stunning mountain views on many holes. The mountains not only made for great scenery, they can actually come into play on several holes if you're a bit wild with your shots--I'm embarrassed to say that... More

The early morning flight into Palm Springs allows us to get nine holes in on our first day and so we decided to play a course on the resort we were staying at. We got a shuttle to the course and the great service started there and continued through the Pro Shop, starter, club cleaner, and wait staff in the... More

My wife and I played the Mountain course at the La Quinta Resort recently, the course was extremely enjoyable. Each hole was a unique with some holes visually intimidating (typical of a Pete Dye design). Compared to the Dunes course, the Mountain course was more friendly and enjoyable. The course conditions were in great shape, the fairways generous, the greens... More

Visiting from England, and fans of Pete Dye's courses at Harbour Town and Sawgrass we had a great time playing The Mountain Course. Reception staff were helpful and accommodating allowing us to walk the course as a 2 ball. The starter was a genial, jolly chap who was a delight to talk to, as were the few marshalls we encountered.... More

This challenging golf course is great from the time you enter the grounds until you finish your round. The holes are relative,y long and difficult for intermediate golfers. If you want a course that leaves you satisfied that the round was worth it, play this course.
