Worth seeing!

I went on the Coastal Tours of San Diego and this was one of the stops. It was something to see and a perfect day!

My husband grew up in San Diego, and has always enjoyed the nature driven surroundings of his birthplace. He has introduced me to the wonders of coastal life, and there's no better place to enjoy the meeting of the ocean and the sky than at Torrey Pines Gliderport. You can walk to the edge of the cliff, and watch both... More

Wow, I can't really tell you what it's like to fly cause... I didn't do it... Look like a fantastic thing to do for other people... I just liked to watch and imagine what it would be like flying off a cliff. Fantastic.

During the week parking your car is no problem and also free. One can watch the colorful paragliders and model sailplanes using the slope lift of the cliffs to stay up as long as the pilots want. There is a constant taking off for flight and landing. Tandem flights can be booked there but are pricey.

Awesome views of the ocean and the beach below from top of the cliff. Also views of La Jolla cove to the south. Great place to jog/walk, photo buffs. You can climb down to the beach. If you feel more adventurous, take a ride on a hang glider. You can take a solo ride or with an experienced glider pilot.... More

You are right at the cliffs and it's awesome to watch the gliders! A must do! Some will dive and do quick maneuvers that require talent and skill. The site with the ocean and cliffs is enjoyable in itself. That day there was plenty of parking.

This was a very fun hour watching several novice and experienced hang gliders take off, glide around, and land on the cliffs. And, there is a small food shack to grab a drink and munchies there

Great views! Exciting to watch gliders take off. Great place to get a sandwich and watch the gliders. Live music was playing in Sunday. Fun place to take a family.
