My trip was actually a gift. A very experienced guide with classical music in his backpack took me. It was amazingly relaxing and exhilarating. The most nerve wracking part was jumping off the cliff, but the guide was strong and I wasn't too worried. I...More

It is quite the thing to watch the gliders in action and how they get them up in the air. Not a lot her however disgusting porta-potties and a so so canteen. Nice to stop by and watch for an hour or so but that...More

We really enjoyed watching the hang gliders take off and soar overhead. The snack bar has good food too.

You walk to the top and there are various trails once you get up there. Another option is to drive to parking lot at top and go off on trails from there. Beautiful views from any trail.

No wind the day we visited so we didn't see any gliders but lots of great viewing areas. Steep hike to Blacks beach for those interested.

We spent about an hour at the glider port yesterday. Lots of guys suited up waiting for the right wind, but only a few of them jumped. This is also where the falconry lessons are. Great view of the ocean, and they do have a...More

I am not into jumping off a cliff but I like to watch people jump off a cliff. I wanted to photograph something different with color. I really enjoyed the views. Iiked that they had a little spot to get something to eat nothing fancy....More

Lots of free parking but muddy and rutted when we were there. I was fun watching folks prepare and then literally run off the cliff. Everyone seemed to know how to "steer" the glider and we spent about 30 -40 minutes watching them all. Black's...More

Some might, I sure didn't! It was very quiet and peaceful! That said, if you have any fear of heights I'd opt out. Pacific Ocean is 350 feet from where you take off and you're sail much, much higher than that!
