Do not go on this trail unless you are an expert hiker in good shape. It is steep, slippery, and requires repelling skills at the end.

November 2018: I have never been on this trail, but I can tell how it has likely eroded due to heavy use, weather etc. There are 2-3 places where it is downright dangerous, especially towards the end, see Wanderer921's picture. I went on midday on...More

Not for small kids or elderly, but it is an amazing hike for anyone not afraid to get their hands dirty!

It was an amazing experience, my advice is to be careful when you get to the waterfall because I slipped and fell. Lol - but even covered in mud I had a great time!! Would definitely do it again.

If you need a getaway close to the city the Ho Chi Minh Trail in La Jolla has a great hike to decompress from the work week. Great, sweeping views of the ocean and rock formations in the cliff.

Have yourself a good pair of shoes -- do not recommend to use beach shoes. The rock can be pointed sometimes and slippery. This is excellent for a morning hiking.

Great access hike down steep, sandy ravine to the beach. Good shoes recommended for the sandy trek...footing not always so good.

So, for this, you park on the residential street, and then walk to the trail. It is steep and you need to wear proper shoes. Going down is not so bad, but coming up, locals call it the 'push me, pull me trail' as in...More

Hello, It's a short trip of about 1 hour, but it can take more time if you decide to spent a moment by the seashore. Best regards from Switzerland ! Eric
