The owner and pilot, Michael Steel, is a dishonest man who refuses to refund our $600. We paid for a gift certificate October 31, 2021 for a seaplane ride and never got the certificate that was promised. Michael has not been able to schedule a flight for my husband stating that his plane is not in working condition. We have been attempting to get our money back for over a year. On numerous occasions he has promised to send the money back to us yet we still do not have it. He is extremely difficult to communicate with - voicemail box is full, he doesn’t answer texts, he doesn’t reply to postal mail, and he doesn’t respond to his company email through his website. We are completely frustrated and disappointed to have been taken advantage of in this way.

We were a group of 15 persons that had made a reservation for a seaplane ride, combined with sailing. The seaplane ride was good but the sailboat was a total wreck which hadn't been maintained or washed for a very long time. The sail wasn't working so we had to go by engine for several hours. They didn't provide any life jackets and finally the wreck stopped working at all. The skipper didn't know the boat and he had not been instructed what to do. Totally unacceptable!

My husband and I love San Diego but have exhausted all of the usual and mundane visitor attractions. I decided to book a seaplane flight for his birthday and I am so happy that I did. Michael carefully explained all of the safety features and protocols and then told us exactly what to expect during takeoff and landing. We both felt completely safe and at ease throughout the flight. We did manage to see a couple of whales, dolphins, and sea lions - it was spectacular! And cruising along the shoreline is just beautiful. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a unique and memorable experience in San Diego.

This was a birthday treat for my wife and I. We had a great time and taking off and landing on the water is a unique experience. Michael, our pilot (and the owner) was a great guy, knowledgeable about the plane and the area. We walked off the beach in Coronado right onto the plane. We flew around San Diego Bay and then up the coast to the north end of La Jolla.
I am a native San Diegan and this gave me a whole knew perspective on things I have been around most of my life. The view of the kelp forests from above was wonderful, almost surreal. When we saw some seals at sea near La Jolla, Michael circled around for a closer view - turns out there several dolphins jumping in the same area. Add this to close up views of the coast, Mission Bay, and San Diego Bay you cannot beat this experience. This would be a great introduction to the magic of San Diego for any visitor.
When the whale watching season starts up I will very likely take grandkids up for another flight to see the whales. 👍

I travelled across the Atlantic from he UK to fly in a seaplane......everyone of the 11 hours on the transatlantci flight was worth this experience.
Michael makes this a unique experience even for experienced flyers.....real flying!
The take off is excirting and so is the lading; skillfully piloted by Michael in his cool, calm professional manner but executed with total professionalism.
He let me fly too!! We saw Blue whales- mother and pod,(not many Californians have seen them close up), we circled around in the plane, dolphins and sealions as well as the beautiful CA coastline with the added benefit of Michael's geographical knowledge.
I cannot reccommend this company, this experience and Michael enough....six stars plus.....
from contacting the company via the internet, then by telephone and payments...to the fight itself...all first class.....brilliant! Another "Bucket list" item ticked off!!

My teenage son set this up for me as a surprise birthday gift, paid for from his part-time job, and wow what a great experience with this family-owned business! Our pilot/owner was friendly, cheerful, and attentive and although one of our group was a nervous flyer he put her completely at ease. The plane feels rock solid, bulletproof and is a joy to fly in. Zooming along low over the water and doing a landing and take-off in the bay was exhilarating while completely safe.
We are San Diego locals and yet we got to see so much of our city, including navy ships and submarines, that we hardly get to see otherwise - especially not all in one morning!
I don't write many reviews but today I felt compelled to, it was so much fun!
