A large grassy park with old and interesting succulents and sedums frame the pounding Pacific ocean. We watch the newborn baby seals being guided to shore by their mothers. So many already backing on the sand and more arriving through the rocks and waves. Some areas were unprotected from human foot traffic which was nice to walk right up to... More

Always clean with beautiful view. Great place to bring children, play ball games, make BBQ, have picnic or watch the concert, which they have there every weekend during the summer.

The sea lions were up on the rocks while I visited the park. While there were more people than I expected for 10am on a Sunday, the park didn't feel too crowded at all. Parking was tricky, but I was lucky enough to snag a front row spot.

Great grassy area with a view of the water near La Jolla Cove. Relax, hang out, people watch. Parking can be a challenge especially on weekends.

There are not too many amenities at Scripps Park. There are a couple of picnic tables and a bathroom and I'm not sure anything more than that. What is lacks in amenities though, it more than makes up for with amazing views and weather. The view along the pathway is amazing. The park is always clean and rarely crowded other... More

This is part of the entire La Jolla experience. When visiting the seals and sea lions you will be walking around the park. Great place to sit and have a snack, read or just enjoy the ocean. In the summers they have music on Sunday's along with other activities throughout the year. You might not want to leave!

This Park is a wonderful place to walk by the Pacific Ocean. You will find places to stop and watch the seals, cormorants and pelicans, as well as kayakers. There is room for picnics, or to play frisbee or just sit and soak up the sun. If you plan on picnicking be sure to put any liquids in non-glass containers... More
