Tide Pools in Pacific Ocean

This is a very unusual activity, especially enjoyed by children. The ocean offers different experiences depending upon the time and tides. .

Really pretty place to see tide pools. Didn't see many creatures that day but it was fun regardless. Wear non skid foot wear for a more enjoyable trip.

Lucky timing meant the water was receding from the weird and wonderful formations at this beach when we arrived. We saw fish, crabs, anemones, abalone, strange seaweed and more -- it was like a nature treasure hunt. BE CAREFUL: the rocks around the tide pools can be exceptionally slippery.

Lots of walking and sand so be careful to wear good walking shoes and take a spare with you. Have fun!

It was just as pictured. Lots of little tide pools in rock. Not much sea life in the tide pools. The kids had fun for a little bit climbing around it.

Went with my friend, her daughter and her friend for a photoshoot for PIFA web page. They are Ms. Heiva n Mr. Heiva 2016. While they were working it with the photo shots, I was enjoying the view, the air, the sound of the ocean!

We were excited to go for shells. Our son had never gone "shelling" and was so excited to go. I'm not sure if we timed it wrong or what but the only shells we found were very little one. Like the ones snails go in. We went twice, both times around 6 or 6:30am. We found some cool little shells... More

Fun place to walk and see all the creatures. Never fails to disappoint. The steps to get down there may be a bit treacherous for older folks.

We came here to play in the waves, and were excited to find little tide pools with crabs and other sea animals in them! The beach and water have lots of seaweed, hard to find a clean spot to play in. Watch out for the seagulls, they ate a full bag of chips and stole someone's wallet, not to mention... More
