This has to be one of my favorite beaches and all of San Diego. Very nice grassy area to eat and keep sand away from your food and yet really close to the water

Beautiful beaches, pretty crowded. Lots of room in the water. There were kayaking tours and tutorials being held while I was there.

I love La Jolla Shores, been going there since I was 4 and it's amazing. The beach is clean, the people are nice, the water is beautiful and you can spot the ocasional dolphin!

Parking is a bear, but get there very early (before 7am) and you're fine. Easy entry with only modest surf on most days. Great place to relax on the beach, rent a kayak, or dive the deep canyon. Excellent sea life diversity.
