California at its best! Stunning white sand beach with facilities, gorgeous clear waters, parking available and palm trees! What more could you want?

You want to enjoy a Californian beach, you really want to. Now this is it. Great beach, good waves for surfing, nice view and clean sand. Just up the street you will find good local food supply, just minutes away, within walking distance. I have...More

I like this beach because it's a soothing place to relax and has a nice promenade for strolling and maybe taking in the evening sunset. Parking is available but fills up quickly. If you arrive late in the day, try some of the more remote...More

Recently moved to San Diego, co workers suggested to go, took grandkids, and had a ball, and watched the sunset.

Beautiful beach! I think we walked about 3 miles. Had to walk on the sidewalk through some neighborhoods to get from La Jolla Shores to La Jolla Cove, but it's a beautiful walk and there is a nice trail to walk on when you start...More

I just love this beach which has free parking. Nice long beach, showers, lifeguards, separate surfboard section, and regular, reliably sized rolling waves for great boogey boarding. Far enough away from LJ Cove so you don't worry about the smell of seal stink there, but...More

I've hit Venice Beach, Huntington Beach, Santa Monica... but La Jolla Beach is my favorite. Something about the atmosphere there, the crowds, the beach itself... just perfect. The free parking doesn't hurt, either! Rumor has it that seals frequent this beach. Sadly, no sea dogs...More

Huge beach area with restrooms, lifeguards, a playground, benches. People were walking and running on the beach, there were surfers and surfing classes, kayak groups were headed out, biking, etc. Plenty to do. I had read reviews that you could walk on the beach all...More

Best beach in La Jolla. Nice and wide with life guard protected swimming. Palm trees and a small park with shops close by. It's a natural bay so never really huge waves so good for swimming and families. If you'd like a nice cocktail, go...More
