San Diego's most desirable spot for swimming, diving and snorkeling. The water is calm and the cove is ecologically protected. There is also a world famous dive site that is located in the La Jolla ecological preserve.

A little difficult to find parking. We watched the seals and birds. They were fun and interesting to watch, but depending on the wind direction, they SMELL. Bathrooms available. Fair number of steps to get close to the seals. Glad we stopped.

Not a lot of space for swimming but a good spot to catch the sea lions sunbathing. Pretty entertaining.

There were seals everywhere and birds!!! So many birds! I can't believe all the pelicans just sitting there! And there were tons of seals barking at each other!!! The sunset was also great!

Great place to see sea lions. You can get very close for pictures. The surf can be rough in the cove which is awesome to see as well. If you walk down on the rocks with the sea lions make sure to wash your shoes...More

During our stay in La Jolla we had the pleasure to walk the Cove many times. It has spectacular views and is vibrant with people walking the cove to take on the sights. Highly recommend.

We spent the day walking around the area. Enjoyed watching the seals and shopping in the many stores.

We kayaked the sea caves at La Jolla beach & loved it. Also, got up close with the sea lions on the cliffs. It was a very relaxed, beautiful beach. Torey Pines is more for the enthusiast for excerise in my opinion but nice... More
