About Everyday California
As San Diego beaches reopen for limited use, we're able to offer kayak rentals and tours, surf and SUP rentals at our shop in La Jolla. Operating in an open-air environment (the ocean) where people are more than 6ft away from others makes our activities one of the safer options you can do at this time. CDC Health officials said people are significantly less likely to get the coronavirus outside, so we encourage people to get out on the water. We are working hard to keep our gear clean and safe. We are happy to announce we are offering small tours, no more then 10 people per tour. Maintain 6ft distance from one another. Please wear a mask at all times inside of our shop. Single and Double Kayaks are available, however double kayaks may only be used for those dwelling and quarantining together. We thank you for showing support to small businesses. "Enjoy nature. It's good for us, and it has very low risk of spreading the virus". - Tom Frieden, former directer of the CDC.

Overview
San Diego has spectacular sea caves, but really exploring the kelp forests, wildlife, and scenery means going out on the water. Get up-close views of the La Jolla Caves on this tour in a double kayak, paddling alongside guides in La Jolla Ecological Reserve. First-time kayakers are welcome on this laid-back tour, with the chance to see harbor seals, sea lions, dolphins, sea turtles, and whales.

I did this as a single not "for two". The tour was fun and Trent was attentive and informative. What was nice was that they took us out in small groups - only 5 kayaks per guide so when you fell behind, it was easy for them to wait and keep track. I would've liked to see more sea life but going through the cave was cool and it was a nice trip. If you can figure out how to keep your car keys with you (I had a little box clipped to my vest), then you can save yourself the locker fee and keep everything in your vehicle. And note that you have to walk through the street to get from either the office or your vehicle dressed in your swimsuit.

Enjoyed visiting the sea caves. The guy was very informative and made sure everyone was with her at all times. I was a little nervous about going there as I’ve never kayaked before but it was relatively easy and it was beautiful day

Our guide Houser was fantastic! The company is very organized and all the employees were extremely helpful and genuinely kind. The sea life and riding the waves coming in was quite tje adventure. I would do it again.

The guides made the experience so fun!! Morgan and IG were so friendly and had lots of facts for us!! And we actually had a booking for 2:00 but ran a little late, so they were able to get us on the 3:00 tour which was so amazing!!! Great service definitely recommend!!

Bought a Groupon for my SD vacation was not able to redeem because Everyday California offers a limited reservation site for Groupon users which means basically you pay the full price or you can't go. Roman lied to me repeatedly about what was available and spoke to me like I was stupid. My friend paid for us to go, 90 minutes of paddling, 2 minutes into one cave where the staff turns your kayak around and pulls you back out with no time for any pictures. Way over priced for what you end up getting, guides are nice they explain a lot about the area but overall it is just not worth it.

Hey Nancy, We always appreciate feedback, and will try our hardest to get better. The prices are at its highest right now because it is the peak of our beautiful season. For lower rates, we always suggest coming down here in the offseason, Oct-March. Last week was some of the best weather and conditions we have had on record. We are glad you and your friends got to kayak around in the ecological reserve and experience the natural sea caves and abundant wildlife that La Jolla Shores has to offer. Have a great summer!
