Great guide, narrated as we rode and at occasional overlook and trail stops. Rode along coastline beautiful ocean and cliff views, sea lions, seals a-plenty. Guide Scott, knowledgeable, very friendly, fun to be around. Would repeat the experience in a heart beat...which was kept at bay with the great electric, pedal assist, bike I was riding.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride w/ Scotty in La Jolla. We got to see a variety of places in this beautiful area. Scotty was a great tour guide - knowledgeable and fun. The E- bikes were in excellent condition. We highly recommend Fly rides.

Our guide, Scott, was knowledgeable, easy-going and lots of fun to ride along the Pacific Coast with. We loved exploring the ecological preserve, seeing sea lions and harbor seals, and getting to watch and learn about surfing. I highly recommend this tour. Bikes are easy to ride too!

A clear day for a ride through the best La Jolla has to offer. All the fresh air of a bike ride with the easy ebike assist made for a great tour. Justin was terrific and personable giving us the local flavor and insights. Why settle for just renting a bike when you’ve got someone like Justin to share all the best neighborhoods and vistas!

At the beginning of September last year I was on a sales phone call with M... from Flyride USA who claimed to be the COO of the company he was trying to sell me an electric Bulls bike. I asked him about the known problem Bulls e-bikes have with the Brose motor. He assured me that Bulls has no defects with their Brose motor. He further informed me that it was only SPECIALIZED e-bike (which I wanted to buy from him in the first place) that had "bad motor" issue due to their dumb tampering with the motor software. So based on his recommendation I bought a 2019 Bulls E-Stream EVO AM 4 (S Mag) Black matt/grey 49cm which I received on Sep-05-2020. After riding the bike for less than 500 miles the Brose motor suddenly jammed and locked and threw me off the bike causing me serious injury to my knees and elbows. It seems the motor belt got broken after being jammed inside the sealed motor which was exactly the known defect I inquired about and was told “it did not exist”. I also had more than 5 different parts failure with the braking system and the e-bike frame hinges which was another disaster. I communicated all the bad news back to the COO of Flyrides USA. He completely & utterly refused to solve these serious defects and blocked me from receiving phone calls to his mobile number. Now, the new Bulls e-bike has been sitting at my neighborhood bike shop for the last 45 days with its completely disabled motor while all my $5,500 investment was turned to waste toped within and suffering. This is the worst experience bike experience I've had in my life and I've never been lied to in such a massive way ever. I highly recommend not dealing with this company. You have been informed.

I went on the 2.5 hr SoCal Riviera ride and I loved it. Our tour guide was Alex Ramirez and he was extremely knowledgeable and an all-round great guide, giving us good direction on some of the steeper climbs and a couple of times when we had to cross busier streets. The bikes are really cool, and the ride is actually rather easy and not strenuous in any sense. I was most overwhelmed by the massive homes throughout the entire area. They are beautiful and detailed to every excess. This area of San Diego is surely how the other 10% lives, and I was glad to tour around and see all of the beautiful extravagance. The views as you ascend up high are incredible, and you are amazed actually that you are so far up when you see where you began once you arrive at the pinnacle height. I can't recommend this tour enough. I actually came down to San Diego for a different original purpose on a day trip from Orange County, and this was ultimately the major highlight of my day!

Had the best time riding through La Jolla up to Mt Soledad and around the beautiful neighborhoods. Colby was a great guide and kept us entertained and informed. The biking experience was wonderfully easy but so much fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 person private tour and would heartily encourage anyone looking for a fun tour to check it out. Ended too soon and would have easily gone again. Fans from Maryland

Do not let the lack of experience of riding an electric bike keep you from doing this! This was the first time I was ever on an electric bike and after the first 5 minutes you will be glad that you decided to do this. Our tour guide Jaret made us feel welcomed and allowed us a good 10 minutes of getting comfortable with the bike before venturing out. Each stop along the way was amazing! What I wish I would have known before, I did not have to worry about where I was going to put my wallet and phone, they have a nice size bag attached to the bike, it is big enough to even hold a medium size pocketbook or a sweatshirt. The bag also contained a rain poncho in case of rain. They had given us a bottle of water and snack for the ride, which I thought was really nice. On my next visit back to San Diego I will be sure to do this again. Thank you Jaret! Please book your trip now! You will not regret it!

Having never read the reviews, I had no idea what to expect. From beginning to end, our Fly Ride tour was awesome. I was definitley nervous about using the electric bikes; for some reason, I expected them to feel a bit out of control. After 10 minutes, I was totally comfortable using them and would now love to own one for getting around my suburban town. We were a group of 6 -- 4 adults and 2 15 year olds. Our tour guide was Jerit and he had us stop many times to experience the sites along the route: he watched the bikes while we climbed down to the shore to get up close with the sea lions and explore the pier at Pacific Beach. We also stopped so that he could give us info about particular areas. Fly Bikes also supplied bottles of water and snacks. Incredibly friendly company.

This was a fantastic way for my wife and me to see the sights in La Jolla. It's a great combination of getting some exercise while riding a bike, with the added ease of an electric motor assist. Our guide was Alex and he was courteous, safe, fun and knowledgeable! I can't think of a better way to view the beaches, wildlife, beautiful homes, etc., that this beautiful area has to offer! They are based in the heart of La Jolla, which offers some great shopping and restaurants to see after your ride. We highly recommend this experience!

Hi Ike and Megan. Read your website and reviews and its sounds awesome. My wife and I did a bike tour of San Diego (Mt Soledad and the loop) in 2013 and are coming out with our daughters ages 13 and 16 and wish to do a bike tour. We bike regularly at home. Is there any height, weight or age requirements? Also, is there public parking near your La Jolla storefront because last time we biked it was difficult to find parking?

1) I do not think "Age" is a concern since your family members constantly bike. As to height/weigt concern, I would recomend that you inform those data to Fly Rides (if you do not mind) during reservation process so that they would prepare the most suitable size of bike in advance.
2) There is a public parking lot at 1247 Cave street, walk in distance from Fly Rides. Open air, around 50 spots only, therefore, depends on the time of your visit, it may be full. I think the fee was $5.00/day, pre-pay system.
