It was supposed to be a children's pool, but the harbor seals took over and it's a main tourist and local attraction. Great picture spot.

Not for swimming but a great part of a day visiting La Jolla. Easy to access from the village, just park the car and stroll down. During the pupping time of year you will be lucky enough to see the young ones. Keep your own...More

Just don't eat anything. If you do, the aggressive seagulls will snatch it right off your hand!!! Scary experience.

This is a beautiful location near scenic La Jolla Cove and Park, overlooking the Pacific and fantastic rocky cliffs. Unfortunately, a group of California sea lions found it attractive as well for birthing their pups, setting off a huge battle (including legal actions) between naturalists...More

We visited in December during the pupping season. The seals sunbathed on the beach and swam in the beautiful clear water. The scenery was great too. Children will love watching the seals.

A beautiful little beach with mossy rocks and Turquoise Waters. We innocently bought some sandwiches for a picnic, but had the visciously (I kid you not!) Torn from our hands, bitten and thrown down in the sand so we had no choice but to toss...More

This location has a great sea walk you can walk out in to be amongst the waves. The sea lions are busy sunbathing and swimming around!

Really happy to stop here and lucky to find parking nearby. The clear blue sky added to the beauty of the surrounding area and the area around the pool was teeming with wildlife - many varieties of birds and several species of sea lions.

Yes, there are sea lions and seals on this coast year round. You'll find seals at the Children's pool and the sea lions typically hand a little north of this at the Cove. You can usually find the sea lions by the smell (it... More
