Worth playing, but....

This is not a cheap course to play which is understandable as a US Open course. I am glad we played it as it is nice to have played such a course. Some great views and I would... read more

This is not a cheap course to play which is understandable as a US Open course. I am glad we played it as it is nice to have played such a course. Some great views and I would especially mention the 3rd, 6th and 12th as great holes. The greens were quick and in very good shape but some of... More

I found it expensive and crowded, the golf course itself was awesome. South side had good panoramic views. No bathroom, or did not fined one when needed in the back 9. Otherwise a good experience in general.

I treated myself to two rounds at Torrey Pines South (North course was under renovation) during my recent visit to San Diego. I had planned to play only once, but enjoyed the experience so much that I returned a few days later when the opportunity presented itself. Getting a tee time was a bit of a challenge. Keep an eye... The South Course is home to the PGA Tour's "Farmer's Insurance Open" AND to the 2008 and the 2021 US Open. Great course to play and highly recommend it for all levels of golfers. One tip - if you normally play the "white tees", I strongly suggest you don't play the white tees on the South course but play the... More

Had the opportunity to play the south course so seized the day. $325 for green fees, $40 for great clubs Taylor Mades, and then $30 for cart. $800 for two people but worth it once. All the staff we met was great and helpful. South course is in need of some TLC. Not sure if because time of year or... More

Great ocean views from almost every hole on the south course. Greens were true and if you putted wrong you paid the price but if you putted with the right line and speed you were rewarded. Unfortunately I was the former. The fairways were in good shape but the course overall was not in great shape considering what you are... More

You can count on a relaxing, beautiful experience both on and off the golf course at Torrey Pines. This venue offers a top-notch golfing and dining experience, not to mention a feast for the eyes and a soothing balm for the spirit. If you want to experience world-class ambience, this is the place. I cannot say enough good things about... More

Torrey Pines gives you the opportunity to play a US open venue. It was a very enjoyable experience with a course in good nick and true greens. The ondulating lay out is good and the course is a fair test of the blue or white tees. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Of the 4 courses we played Torrey Pines was the most expensive and really didn't live up to the hype or at least what I expected. Course shape was average and really not worth the big price tag but I've scratched it of my bucket list of places to golf and still enjoyed my round. I give it an average... More

We booked golf as part of a stay at The Lodge. Coordination of golf between The Lodge and the course left a LOT to be desired. Lack of communication and misinformation almost completely dampened the experience but this quickly faded once we stepped onto tje first tee box of the south course. The course was pristine and the views breathtaking.... More
