A must visit when in Flores! We visited the Komodo island as part of a private family boat tour with Local Guides. It is what is says: an island where you can see the beautiful Komodo dragons. I notice many people have a strong preference...More

We visited this preserved jungle with slow walk in hope to meet at least a dragon, but we saw more than ten lazing around the nature park. This giant lizard is carnivores including their own babies. The deadly bacteria in their saliva is capable of...More

We visited Komodo Island as part of a cruise with Azamara. One of the main reasons for doing this cruise was to see the dragons on Komodo Island. You have to enter the national park with either a ship or a private excursion. We used...More

I would guess that the dragons of Komodo are the main - if not sole - reason that thousands of people from around the world are attracted to this fairly remote spot and I read other reviewers breathless with excited memories of their encounters. Many...More

Viking Ocean arranged for an included excursion to Komodo National Park to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. We were grouped together of about 20 with three rangers. One mostly spoke, one was positioned at the front of the group, the other was positioned...More

We have taken two speedboat day trips to the Komodo National Park and really enjoyed the serene beauty of the islands and the ocean. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Indonesia!

Stunning nature and views, fantastic flora and fauna (both in and out of the water). If you want to see the Komodo dragons; make sure you go to Rinca, and not just Komodo. The rangers on Komodo seem uninterested in showing their island and the...More

We came here on a holiday, expecting a nice national park experience, however, the park is filthy, very dirty and unkept! It's such a shame as the rest of the Flores area and islands are beautiful. Typical Indonesian lack of education about plastic and rubbish....More

Doubtful. It's a working port and nobody is usually chilling there waiting for customers. The town is like two roads and all the guided tours have shops about a 5-7 minute walk from boats.
