It's a peaceful wooden church even a shopping area on the other side of the road.
The church is near to shop area(less 10mins walk), but the sign for direction is not easy to recognize. You have to go through a mall and across the road. There are some free parking spaces behind the Church. But we park at the paid parking area behind the mall, then walk to the shopping area(Karuizawa Ginza Dori).

Classic architecture by Antonin Raymond! Go there when there's a mass, if not it's not open for public viewing. Very easy to find by GPS if you're driving.

When I lived in Gunma, I would travel 2 hours each Sunday to attend Mass at St. Paul's. Father Carlos Martinez, priest of the church was (and hopefully still is) a lovely, kind, inspirational man who I became great friends with. If you are in this area, please visit this simple, humble church and feel the love and goodness therein.

Worth visiting. Lovely wooden arches and structure within. And the history is fun to read, see and feel.

It is raining when we got there but the church is closed. We can't go inside but just glimpsed through the small glass window at the door. The church is quite small and not difficult to find.

Located just behind Church Street of the Ginza, this is a small but beautiful catholic church. Apparently this information is not available online but service on Sunday's is at 9am.

The church is located at a quiet side path yet just a stone throw away from the busy shopping street. The architecture is of traditional wooden roof. It is a nice place to calm you down and to meditate. However, I must state that this a a place for worship so don't treat it as a tourist attraction. A place where God is waiting for you to sooth and touch your heart!

在輕井澤穿過了Church Street, 便是St. Paul Catholic Church, 教堂好細少, 外面地方亦不大, 拍了幾張照片, 教堂內沒有開放, 只從玻璃門影入內, 路經可以一看.

You would think a church is just that, but when you are in a foreign land, ie Japan, a church becomes a sanctuary of normality, This one is small homely with very unusual architectural furniture.

While spending my holiday in Gunma area I had a chance to took a day trip to Karuizawa. What a fun trip! Cold but very sunny. Just rent a bike. Got very fresh air while cycling through larches, along lakes, through a beautiful boulevard where many ancient western style mansions situated. In the outlet area, locals enjoyed summer time with their families and pets. So nice to see. It was crowded in Ginza shopping street but was a worth visit. Lots of traditional small shops and eatery stand side by side the street. Strolled around the street and somehow emerged in the woods and met this small church. It’s not particularly beautiful but it has its charm. Felt like it’s the sanctuary. There was a wedding going on so that made it more surreal.
