Flying Squirrel Watching Tour

52 reviews
We will watch the wild Japanese giant flying squirrel, which is endemic to Japan and one of the biggest flying squirrels in the world. Since our professional nature guides know their life style and gliding patterns, the chances of watching their gliding is 97.8% (actual result of this tour in 2019).

Worth visiting. Lovely wooden arches and structure within. And the history is fun to read, see and feel.

It's a peaceful wooden church even a shopping area on the other side of the road. The church is near to shop area(less 10mins walk), but the sign for direction is not easy to recognize. You have to go through a mall and across the road. There are some free parking spaces behind the Church. But we park at the paid parking area behind the mall, then walk to the shopping area(Karuizawa Ginza Dori).

It is raining when we got there but the church is closed. We can't go inside but just glimpsed through the small glass window at the door. The church is quite small and not difficult to find.

You would think a church is just that, but when you are in a foreign land, ie Japan, a church becomes a sanctuary of normality, This one is small homely with very unusual architectural furniture.
