great little area to visit for a couple of days

Visit the lake, hike Parker Lake, visit Bodie Historic State Park - enjoy the amazing scenery. We didn't have trouble with bugs, there can be bears in the area.

I have been to June mountain and Mammoth many times. Over the years I have developed a preference for June. You feel like you are in a mountain community there and not so much in Mammoth.

I absolutely loved skiing at June as was like going back in time somewhat. It was a slow laid back feel from the slick Mammoth Mt. It was much friendlier and the town below was genuine, authentic and casual. The skiing conditions were not the greatest as very crunchy snow being north facing so it took several hours to soften... User friendly, family oriented, nice variety of runs, no lines and super friendly staff. Really! You can't beat it.

February, 2016. We went to June Lake as part of a Mammoth Mountain ski trip, choosing to ski at June on our day of arrival after driving from Orange County that morning. In case you are interested, we left the OC at 4 AM, stopped once for gas at Victorville and gassed and ate breakfast at Bishop before arriving at... More

Family friendly and all of the people working there were so nice and very sensitive to families! We went in a snow storm so I can't really say how good the snow boarding / skiing is. Hopefully we can go back soon and find out.

No facilities during the winter but don't let this put you off a break from skiing. Beautiful scenery.

This should be on everyone' s bucket list a beautiful place to see once in your life time. I went in end of may and it was still snowing but me and hubby enjoyed the trip went early so we could see everything before the crowds like they say Early Bird Gets the Worm....

We brought my elderly mother to June Lake for her Christmas gift. She loves the snow but hasn’t been to it for many years. We had heard about June Mountain and when we found out I would be able to have my mother ride the lift up to the lodge we were sold. Thank you for the wonderful views and... More
