So goat rock is easy to find off the route one however it was a little challenging to figure out where the trails were. It turns out that pretty much where the cars are is where you would be walking but more so on the grassy area. Sadly I did not realize this until leaving as I saw someone with poles walking up. Otherwise for a quick stop you can go to goat rock Beach, I noticed some people were fishing, however most were just taking pictures at the amazing waves in the ocean.…

One side of the beach is for those with pets and the other for those without. Lovely stretch of sand with Goat Rock rising up in the middle.

One of the best beaches in,the area. Very long with lots of rocks in the water. One has a hole through it. Big parking lot. Gentle path past the rocks to the beach. Typical cold Pacific! Don’t miss!

We visited when the high tide was particularly high and it was wonderful experience. The beaches are good but we were unable to go there because of the violent waves.

Lots of warm sand and great waves! Never crowded. This is a great place for seal watching - at seal-pupping season it’s a fun time to see the babies!
