Tanis is well worth the slight detour off the beaten track. We found the red wines to be outstanding! Full-bodied, soft tannins, and very distinct tastes and aromas per varietal. There are many family-run wineries in this area, but unfortunately many are still trying to...More

Always a pleasure to stop by and taste their wines and see a nicely run small winery that is producing some very enjoyable Vino! Pick up some of their son's eggs from their close by chicken coop.

Stopped by and tasted here a day in June. Found the owner, wine pourer to be very knowledgeable. The wines were pretty good across the board, with the Pinotage and Rose my favorites.

I'd highly recommend stopping here when in the area. There are a few other very nice wineries in close proximity. The owner was very friendly and knowledgable. The wines were very good.

The owner is very informative about the whole wine process. We found his whole presentation very helpful. The wines were wonderful, but we were also in love with the avocado oils, mustard & chocolate!,

One of the "must" stops when we have visitors in Amador County. A small winery, with wines produced in small quantities (they will sell out, so if you like something, buy it while you can.) Friendly, welcoming, and just a great place to visit overall!

This small family run winery consistently produces excellent wine. The tasting room is cozy and the owners make a big effort for visitors to enjoy their visit. There is free food and a chance to get to know the winemaker well.
