We made two trips here. We had originally intended to tour the gardens, but given that the thermometer was over the century mark we elected to come back earlier the next day. Day one was spent sampling the different date varieties followed with a date...More

If you love dates (or maybe you've never even tried one before) this is the place for you! Not only do they have very tasty date shakes (which I believe is what they're known for), but they also have shelves filled with date flavored items....More

The "freshly squeezed" orange juice was not freshly squeezed and was out of a carton, they had no coffee available but the date shake was good. The shop was nothing to write home about, and the gardens were not particularly good, a stroll around my...More

Stopped here after dining at Jackelope Grill. First thing I noticed was a lad working behind the counter. I asked if he was 14? He said yes. Asked if he was part of the ruling family. Yes, again, he replied. Nothing I like more than...More

Watch the movie, as it tells so much, have the famous date shake that folks have talked about. It is truely my favorite now. The restaurant was closed for renovations but we walked the grounds quickly in the 118F heat. Interesting. But cool items to...More

The museum, grounds tour and restaurant were all wonderful. The best part was the date shake (plan on sharing one!). You can purchase the best dates I've ever eaten here and take home.

My first date shake was memorable: deliciously rich (one can be shared among two people. It costs $6). They also sell date ice-cream. It was liking traveling back in time sitting at the 50’s style diner-like desk sipping the shake. The cafe’ looked great, but it...More

I had planned this trip a while ago and had planned to have Sunday breakfast and some date pancakes. Unfortunately, the Cafe is closed for July and part of August for kitchen renovation. The store however is still open. They have 5 or 6 varieties...More

We stopped because we decided to try the date shake. It was better than I would have expected although it gets overly sweet and the only size is 24 oz. The cafe was closed the month we were there. They are very generous with their...More

Nothing like a date shake! Actually, they aren't bad. The restaurant has outdoor seating, so that's always a good thing. Nice place for lunch.
