Like taking a walk back in time. Feels like 1950's. Lots of different dates available to purchase as well as other dried fruit and treats. Souvenirs a plenty. We sit at the counter and enjoy a delicious date shake. You can sit in the little theater and watch the famous film "The sex life of the Date".

The food here is so good, we love the date pancakes and the date shakes are amazing! We came here for breakfast and were not disappointed.

Cute little place with samples of several different kinds of dates, and wonderful date shakes. It's right out of the fifties and has booths to sit and enjoy your shake or you can browse the shop full of unusual gifts and memorabilia.

The stops from my childhood drew me back. Fine date shakes and great gift items. A trip down memory lane.

I stopped by to meet a client here at the Shields Cafe for lunch. At first, I was surprised at how small the cafe was and questioned what quality of food we might receive. Not a problem at all! The menu was varied and had some surprising selections such as crab cakes--both dishes we ordered were great! It was also... More

I am ashamed to say that I've been leaving in the Coachella Valley for fifteen years I never visited this restaurant until a friend invited us for breakfast. I really recommend it. The food is amazing and the service is one of a kind. It also has a garden christian walk in the back that is worth to see.

I stopped here while visiting family and really enjoyed it. It really doesn't take long to visit. We watched the very informative and entertaining sex lives of dates video and then shopped for dates. You can sample every variety of date that they carry and they do also ship. We shared a huge date milkshake and totally enjoyed it. Highly... More

If you like dates, this is worth the visit. They have samples of many different types of dates to try. My favorite is still the Barhi although the Majhool is a close second. Don't miss out on their famous "date shake." Recipe is available online and there are so many goodies that can be made with date crystals.

The gift shop was really cute with a variety of things to look at. Of course tons of free samples of all the different dates, cookies, cakes, etc. The short movie was informative and you can watch as much or as little as you like of it. We looked right at the opening of the date farm. Go early to... More
