Great appetizers and music in the bar/dance area. Happy hour drinks are a couple of dollars cheaper during happy hour, but all the appetizers are $ 8 all night. Music doesn’t start until 8 ish. Had DELICIOUS date and bacon skewers, with Mornay sauce on...More
This restaurant was recommended by some locals who frequent it for Happy Hour. We had dinner in the dining room on a Monday night. I think we had half price bottles of wine (yes we had two!). Our dinners were spectacular. I had the Chef’s...More
Our family had the pleasure of eating here twice. Our first night was on a Sunday and the entertainment was excellent appealing to all including my teenagers who couldn't resist a few moves on the dance floor. We went again on a Tuesday night and...More
My wife and I were here for dinner. There is a bar area and a dining room. Nice setting for dinner. The food was very good bordering on excellent. We had ceasar salads for dinner and Goulash and the Veal Marsala for our entrees. Ceasar...More
We dined here while staying at the Hyatt - 5 mins in an Uber. The food was very enjoyable - linguine Alfredo and the fillet mignon were both up to scratch. The J Lohr cab sauv was sensibly priced too.
Service was good throughout.
We were enthused to take friends while we vacationed together in PS. We made a reservation but arrived early to have a drink. The restaurant had saved 4 tables for those waiting for a table - but wouldn't let us sit for 20 minutes until...More
We went early for the "early bird specials" (not because we are seniors, but because we hadn't eaten lunch). We each had a salad, entree, and dessert for $20 each. Excellent food and they didn't skimp on portions! We were stuffed, but still found room...More
Our computer is fixedwith a few kinks but hubby is getting an MRI because of tumors from the WTC thing and any other time he is working. Anyway we are just obcessd with trying to get back to Maui. We didn't get to snorkel or swim in any of the beaches. While we were there nobody was at any of the beaches with 60 mile an hour winds and there were no boats out until the last day either and that's when we did the whale watch and GW pool and other activities . So we have to go back even though we...More

NewYork, Glad that your computer up and running. You seem to have been bitten by the Maui bug that so many of us on this board have! Not sure what word you are referring to in the magazines. What term does you DH use? FFD

Rooftop bars? (6 Replies)
I’ve searched through old posts but many many not be there anymore. I see the Nest as one of the better ones? Any others people can recommend?

The Nest is nice, pricey but has a great view. Frolik is nice. Can be a little clubby depending on timing or if there's an event. MBar has a good view and good food. Monkey Loft. Sort of a divey nightclub vibe, not a high rooftop. Mexcaleria Oaxaca has great food and drinks, relaxed vibe, prices aren't inflated (like at Nest, Frolik, MBar - but not as nice of a view).
