This is a place to walk those 10,000 steps. Good for bird watching and photography. There is free parking at the Reserve. There is also another parking area off Warner and PCH. At this facility there is a display of 'nature'. There is only port-a-potties at both of these places.

See OC's largest coastal wetlands. Lots of birds migrate here, making it a true birding hotspot, Or you can walk the loop trail for about 1 1/2 miles. The interpretive Center at Warner and PCH has great exhibits, some alive, to explain the wetlands ecology. A Must See

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a surprising pleasant walk where you can see an amazing amount of wildlife. We are locals and have been here for school and with scouts and to volunteer. You can arrange a guide if you call ahead. They know all the nesting places so you can identify a lot more birds.

Really neat wild place in Southern California. With gentle level trails that traverse the wetlands area, you can see incredible numbers and types of birds, along with other wildlife (snakes, coyotes, etc.) A great place for kids

This is one of most unique nature walks available on the coast. Steps from the surf, in world of it's own, bring your camera and your bird watching book. You can spend hours in the peaceful oasis and not see it all. Or bring your walking shoes and enjoy one of the best (easy) nature walk on the coast, close... More

My 4 yr old daughter and I visited this Conservatory around 10 am during the week. I love taking pictures of wildlife and wanted to to hike around somewhere educational, so I thought this place would be perfect. The reserve runs along the PCH and you enter in the parking lot at Warner Ave. There is a small but friendly... More

I loved walking around the wetlands and seeing all of the different birds and animals. Being from the east coast it was really interesting to see different ecology than I am used to. The trails were great and the signage was informative without being over-present.

Go here & unwind! And watch the natural wildlife! What makes it so cool is that it's right here and you don't have to go far to enjoy the "wildlife"! Go and relax! Take the kids/family for a while to get away! You can even catch some pretty cool stuff with your cameras! Highly recommended for a different activity away... More

A nice place to bird. We watched Rails mating and nesting. The bird list on their site could be improved to be easy to download and or print. It gets hot fast in the morning of course when I'm birding time flys. Sorry
