We love the open space. You can hike the middle or the edges while visiting the Bolsa Chica state beach across the street. Lots of birds and wetland wildlife. We have taken our dog on lease but he prefers the nearby dog beach or bluff...More

Nice place to walk and see wildlife. We stopped at the visitors center and the docent told us herons were currently nest building about .7 miles up the trail. What a fascinating experience to watch these huge birds build their nests in palm trees. An...More

I walk the reserve quite frequently and am rewarded each time. The trails are groomed with sand or rock, and are well kept. The wildlife is different each day and changes with the seasons. The bird watching is phenomenal. You may see Osprey, Owl, Red...More

Went with entire family. Great place to walk as far as you care to. In among the marshes and past beautiful homes overlooking the area and the Pacific in the distance.

Located between the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Huntington Beach.. lies a reserve for marine life. It’s one of my favorite places to go to wind down from the hustle and bustle of city life. Parking is a pain in the weekends, but...More

This is a world renowned site for birding, and a fun place for a walk any day. No dogs! You never know what you will see from the occasional otter to endangered Sea birds.

This is a great spot to watch birds and fish as you walk all around the reserve. I highly suggest parking on Warner Av rather than PCH if possible. Both parking lots are free.

Not very busy, especially during the week. However on the weekends, it is more crowded especially with locals bird watching.
