One of the last wetland areas left in Southern California. Has not changed in years, and this is a good thing.

Get exercise but wear tennis shoes. Lots of signs to identity what you discover, even WWII gun turrets. I suggest, hats, sunglasses and bottled water. A great adventure for all ages, even us seniors can walk these trails.

This area was restored a few years ago. They did such a great job. It is ago great place for a walk and for Bird watching.

it's worth visiting! one can see lots of birds and some sea life when one visits this preserve! it's a refreshing contrast to some of the beaches in the area that does get real crowded at times...if you visit make sure to bring your camera...More
