This pier is amazing for checking out surfers catch waves; and people watching, as it attracts a diverse group. I would visit Ruby's Diner - the end of the pier. I like their turkey burgers. The little shops located on the pier, lean toward kitschy. I think they should improve their image; or possibly that's just me. I actually like... More

Pier is great, with several activities around with beach volley ball tournaments, street performers and other activities. A restaurant at the beginning of the pier and one at the end. Lots of restaurants across the street. Bathrooms were terribly filthy.

Take a walk on the pier for a great sunset. Don't use the bathroom unless your desperate as I was and they aren't pretty. Don't waste time in the shops just enjoy the view.

Nothing special about this Pier but is well maintained and great place for pictures. Ruby's is at the end of the pier and is worth a stop in for an authentic old school diner feel.

Good places to eat nearby, Ocean breeze is always welcomed and watching fisherman/ people is always entertaining. I don't see how you can go wrong walking on the pier.

See the beach SOUTH OF THE PIER. If you are looking to spend an afternoon with the family where you can unload the car and walk down to the water to actually swim, this is probably the least crowded and largest stretch of public beach. Laguna Beach is a parking mess, and more for tourist shopping. Newport Beach has very... More

Definitely recommend visiting around sunset. It is absolutely gorgeous to see. Wednesday nights the town car club parades down main st, which was a lot of fun for the kids.

We walked on the pier each morning and evening to take it in. The views are immaculate, and it is fun to watch the different people fishing and enjoying their time. A chocolate malt is waiting at the end also.

Enjoy the waves from above! The pier is a great place to watch the surfers and volleyball courts as well as get some unique gifts from the shops. By the pier are outdoor markets, shops, and great food places. Best parking is just a block up from Main street at the public parking plaza which is walking distance from everything.... More

At the end of the Pier is Ruby's Diner which is a fun place to eat (and reasonably priced). Along the pier are vendor's selling souvenirs and whirly gigs. There are always surfers in the water, so it is fun to watch them from the pier. On weekends there seems to be some type of event such as surfing, beach... More
