I had been going to Candy's off and on for about 3 years. I know pretty much all the servers. There was a kegger party sponsered by KCAL one day and Candy's had a promotional tent going. One of the servers... Let's just say her name starts with a "L", could not of been more rude to my friend and I. I just wanted to say "Hi", and introduce my good friend. "L" ignored and said sarcastic statements, so we walked off. This is a bad representation of Candy's and the girls who work there. I was talking one day and happened to bring up how I was treated to the owner, quite by accident. Two months later, I happened to go in when server "L" was working and I got chased out. Told "You went and talked to my boss, so I'm not going to serve you!", blah blah blah in front of all her customers. The fact that I then walked right on out didn't seem to matter. She consistently badgered me and said to go ahead and tell her boss. Four of my friends had followed me, and they left too. We then went and spent over $400 at another place. I called in when the boss was there, and Janelle said that she did in fact care, and wished to talk to me. But no time to discuss it right now. First she said to come in on either day she told me she would be working. Both days she was not there. I live near Big Bear and Highland. is a long drive for me. So I called on the phone and kept getting the run around by either Janelle or the workers. "I have customers", "Can't talk now", "Busy...", "She's in a meeting", "Just left". So I went in, once again, and Janelle made more excuses. She played games with me, by talking to other people like they were way more important and after a very long time, I started to leave. As I was leaving, Janelle loudly said my name, Twice, followed by, "I guess you can't wait for me to be done, so I can talk to you!". She had plenty of opportunity to talk to me, and knew I was there, waiting for her, (for a long time). Obviously, the owner doesn't care, so I won't be back, especially if either of them are there. I won't bring my money spending friends either. We went on over to another place and spent over $400. Candy's loss. I hate to leave a negative review because it hurts the other servers pocket and they don't deserve it. But I thought long and hard about it, because people should know the truth that the owner really doesn't care what goes on. And they can be very disrespectful to seniors and elders.
