Tried this lake out for the day an was ok. A really small beach area. But a really big lake. There should be more Lake area dedicated to swimming. Camp grounds are over grown with vegetation. U have to explore the grounds completely inside and out to really find the spot that suits u. It's worth driving around the entire... More

What an amazingly fun place! As a child I recall fishing camping and biking at this park. As a young adult, when my children were young we brought them to wave ride and hangout. Now as a grandparent, I bring my granddaughter to the beach to play and frolic. What a enjoyable cross generational place for all activities.

There is a beach area for swimming, the rest of the lake is used for boating. You can fish here but you'll need a state license. The beach area does have paddle boats, and a snack bar.

It´s a great place for a relaxing day out of the city traffic. The Lake is a fine fishing and recreational area. It´s possible to enjoy the hiking trails or fish from the shore.

I grew up in this area before Silverwood was 'created' with the coming of the Aquaduct. The Lake is a fine fishing and recreational area. It draws crowds on the major holidays, but often is almost deserted during Spring and Fall weekdays. It is a Bald Eagle nesting area with many Eagles wintering there each year. On our annual visit... This lake has a great beach for swimming with my kids. I took them there one random Friday morning. We went back the following Friday and the following Friday. That's how much fun we had. The water is cool and clear, and the beach is perfectly situated so the wind did not blow us away. There were lifegaurds on duty,... More

Seemed like a good idea, reads like Silverwood has everything we like. First, the hookup sites are short, very short. Can't see any physical reason why they can be a couple of feet deeper. Camp grounds are well maintained, and you do see regular patrols. We enjoyed exploring around, seeing some wildlife and biking the trails. Rangers are friendly, at... More
