We arrived near closing time, but there was absolutely no pressure for us to rush through our tastings. In fact, following some polite and unobtrusive attention, we were offered additional information and re-tastings. In the end, we were even encouraged to try a couple off-menu...More

We really enjoyed our visit to Seghesio. The staff were very informative while being down to earth. We were able to try multiple wines and left with more than a few bottles. I would highly recommend to stop by next time your in the area.

A great blend of classic and unique Zinfandels and other, primarily Italian, varietals. The legacy of the Winery is well balanced with with a fun and inviting atmosphere. The tasting room gang is always welcoming, friendly, and educational. To top it off, the Chef’s table...More

Julie Seghesio Neumiller was our children's nursery school teacher. We've loved the Seghesio wine and associated facilities, events, etc., since their inception and evolution. We cried over the fire. We love the winery and event facility it has become.

Has anyone been before? Thoughts, feedback? How are the bocce courts? Thanks! -Mike

We were there in September for a tasting. We didn't check out the bocce courts (not sure I even saw them on my way in/out). It was a nice tasting. For all the talk about their well-known zins, I was actually most impressed by their unusual whites (Fiano and another Italian varietal that I believe started with an "A"). The server was very friendly and despite it being pretty crowded, offered tastings of their full list despite only 6 being listed on their daily tasting options.

Hello!! I am getting married in Healsburg at the end of May and am trying to pick some wineries for a Sunday tour (we rented a bus for 5 hours for 25 people). I would like to stop somewhere that has wine pairings with food so we don't have to stop for lunch and have heard that J and St. Francis are both good for food pairings. We are also spending Saturday in Healdsburg and plan on visiting the tasting rooms (perhaps Roseblum/Plaza Farms?) and I was wondering if people had favorite tasting...More

Kendall-Jackson's Wine Center near Fulton (just so. of Healdsburg) offers a very nice food and wine pairing, as do Seghesio, Mayo Family Winery and Ferrari-Carano. Be sure to check on what is being offered at each place, since most food is presented as "small bites" and isn't intended to be lunch for a hungry traveler! If you go to multiple food and wine pairings, you may eventually get enuf to eat, but it will end up costing far more than a nice lunch somewhere. Also, be sure to check in...More

Hey Mike, I just returned from my vacation in California. I spent a few days in wine country, making Seghesio one of my stops. They are located in Sonoma County, not Napa (probably why no one responded to this post). The day that I went they were understaffed (was told that they were having a wine club event that afternoon). But they were very friendly, and I really enjoyed their zins. They are also part of the Visa Signature program, so if you have that card the tastings are complimentary. ...More
