About
Our tasting room spotlights masterfully crafted cool-climate Pinot noir (from both the nearby Russian River Valley and the remote Mendocino Ridge) and dry Riesling and Rosé, by the glass/bottle or on tap-a first for Healdsburg. Our production is very small at 1,800 cases per year so you won't find us in retail stores.

Came in on a weekend where they were doing a vertical tasting. The wines were good and it was interesting going through multiple years of same vineyard, all the years were interesting in their own way. The wine educator was incredibly knowable and attentive. Despite it being busy, the experience was great.

Hi Kelly, Thanks so much for doing the vertical with us! We try to do a different vertical tasting once a month and a library wine tasting every Friday.

I'll preface this by saying that we are club members, but still wanted to just thank them again for a perfect wine tasting experience. We miss seeing the owners, but naturally they are very busy and the staff that they have in place are awesome. Cannot recommend their wines enough, especially their amazing pinots!

Tried their flight of 5 lovely wines and Tara was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit!

The wines were good but we sat on the couches & got forgotten for awhile. Some nice Pinots and a very interesting story to the name.

I am sorry that your experience started poorly, that is not what we strive to do. I'm glad you enjoyed the wines and heard the story. It was a pleasure serving you. My team and I have talked about how to make sure guests who are on the couch are served as quickly as people at the bar so thank you for your feedback, ti will help us going forward.

As a group of 4 people we dropped in for a regular tasting during our 10 day visit to Sonoma. During our time in Sonoma we did many tastings and this was by far the least inspired. In our opinion, of 4 Pinot Noir we tasted only 1 was good enough to justify a second sip. The wine taste is of course subjective but the experience at large was objectively boring.

My husband and I were tasting around the Healdsburg square, enjoying the warm day, friendly hospitality, and delicious wines UNTIL we stepped into Cartograph. We had a friend showing us around the square, and another winery had recommended Cartograph, so we stopped by. We were met by a rude, abrasive person behind the counter. I'm pretty sure her name was Erika B. She took our two for one tasting passes, and said she would not let us have them, even though we were clearly two different couples coming in. I was very upset and uncomfortable because all the other places we had tasted treated us so nicely. Thankfully after leaving we went to another place that was more of what we have come to love about Healdsburg.

I am sorry to hear this was your experience. Given that another winery recommended you taste with us, I can assure you we normally provide a friendly and educative tasting. We are a small producer and as a local business, we seek to provide a great experience to all our guests. You are more than welcome to come back and taste with me the next time you are in Healdsburg.
In regards to the tasting cards, if two couples come in with one 2:1 tasting card per couple, both cards are honored. If two couples come in with four tasting cards, one card is honored per couple and you can keep the second tasting card for another visit. I hope that helps to explain some of the confusion around the four cards that were presented. I will also review our tasting cards and see if there is a way I can make it clearer.
I am sorry for your experience and would like the opportunity to give you a different experience so that you can see why people do recommend us as a tasting room.
Thanks,
Serena

This was our first stop in Healdsburg and honestly, it was the best wine we found. We loved the room, the presentation, and the wine.

We visited here 2 years ago and were blown away by their wines-especially their Pinots so we were excited to show them off to our friends and they did not disappoint.
Alan and Serena do amazing work at this smaller winery. You can tell when visiting with them their passion for the work they are doing in making their wines. In addition to they have some great staff members who treated us wonderfully during our 2 visits this past week.
Cartograph has become our favorite winery in Healdsburg not only for their wines but their hospitality as well.

It was 99 degrees on the Healdsburg Plaza when stepped into the cool, calm Cartograph tasting room. A strange smell was off-putting at first (hence 4 stars) but I stopped noticing it after a couple minutes. Much more spacious than most wine tasting rooms, and, delightfully, had low sofas to sit on. Our server was gracious and came to us to pour our $10 split tasting. Nice story about how the married wine owners met. Good wines, too, especially the Pinot Noirs, but we had already burst our wine budget for this trip!

We've been members of this winery for a while now, but each visit just seems to get better. The wines keep improving and they're sourcing excellent fruit from a variety of great vineyards. The winemaker Alan is amazing. Also, the value is as good as anywhere in Healdsburg, or Sonoma for that matter. A young winery with a solid foundation, we're so glad we found them when we did!
