About
Arista Winery was founded by the McWilliams family in 2002 with a mission to create the most elegant expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. We are committed to sustainable farming practices and sustainable business practices. We farm our 30 acres of estate owned vineyards and we work closely with local growers who share our dedication to sustainability in their vineyards. We do not attempt to manipulate our vineyard sites but instead strive to preserve each vineyard's natural qualities. In addition to our wines, we pride ourselves on having created a true destination experience for our visitors. A breathtaking setting of Japanese water gardens, mountain and vineyard vistas, combined with an inviting tasting room, offers guests a welcoming environment that encourages picnic lunches and leisurely days spent on the estate.

Sadly I did not have a good experience at this winery. We made an appointment for a party of 6 people and they sat us in a private area on a picnic table outside of the main building. Our host came 20 minutes later to pour us the wine tasting than left us for 20 minutes without hanging around to provide information on the winery, the wine and vintages, and answer questions. She came back again to pour us the next set of tastings than left again....
I had filled out a communication card and had originally selected some wines to purchase, however, she never came back and we ended up leaving.
I wrote them 2 emails to provide feedback and also to cancel my order, BUT I never received any emails in response and now just received an email that my wines are being shipped.
Arista, you need to improve on your customer service and need to take care of your customers, otherwise, you will slowly lose your following.

Our server Anne was not friendly and didn't pay us any attention or explain the wines to us in detail. She asked us which bottles we wanted to purchase before we even tasted the last wine on our tasting list and had to remind her that we were not finished. One nice man at the beginning asked us if we were ok and we asked for the explanation of our first 2 wines which he gladly gave. 2 groups who arrived after us left 30 min before we left on our own accord. We had prepaid for our tasting so we figured to just get up an leave since no one cared about us. We figured it was because of the color of our skin. This vineyard left a bad taste in our mouth. There are better vineyards to spend your money at.

Hello,
All of us here at Arista were sorry to hear that you feel that you received an unacceptable level of service while visiting our winery, and that race somehow played a part in that experience. We had an awesome time tasting at Arista! Mike was super knowledgeable and friendly. He kept the wine flowing as we wandered through the beautiful Japanese gardens. Then, we picnicked on the grounds and had a terrific time relaxing with a bottle from the vineyard. All in all, a terrific outing!

We loved both the wine and the venue at this winery. It is a working farm (that offers pairing dinners where the chef uses produce from their own gardens). The historic buildings and the Japanese gardens outside the tasting room make this a truly memorable experience. Thanks to Beth who made our day so amazing. We hope the momma sheep we saw has had her babies by now.

We stopped in on our visit through RRV - had to because this spot came highly recommended. It delivered! Wine was good - but the setting was awesome. Loved the garden outside with pool and lots of places to sit and take in the breathtaking view. Definitely worth stopping in!

We had taken our family sign seeing for the day and needed time to kill before dinner in Sebastopol. We'd heard Arista was a nice vineyard so headed there to check it out.
Nice setting, very friendly staff and tasty wine. Best of all we had our dog in tow - we we're just winding down all the windows to leave him in the car for a brief glass of wine and one of the staff members rushed out and let us know Arista is dog friendly :)

We experienced the food and wine pairing at Arista. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. This is a family owned business that definitely puts the emphasis on "family". Everyone is made to feel welcomed and comfortable. Lollo took us around the property in the Hummer golf cart. He was knowledgeable about the vineyards and the winemaking process. We met up with Chef Tim at his kitchen garden. Chef Tim outdid himself with the food and wine pairing. We have 5 courses of expertly and beautifully prepared dishes that were matched with Arista wines. I highly recommend this experience.

In addition to having some really delicious wines, the grounds of this winery are beautiful! It is set in the hills and overlooks the Russian River area. It has a cozy (smaller and more personable) tasting room that opens out to their gorgeous Japanese garden. Definitely worth the stop if in the area for some wine tasting and a stroll through the garden!

Great place for a picnic. Japanese gardens are lovely. Loved the Zin. The people in the tasting room seemed rather bored with the job.

Attending the Chardonnay and lobster event tonight, staying in Healdsburg at Dry Creek BW. Have had no luck securing transportation to and from the winery. Apparent shortage of taxi, Uber, etc. Do you have advice? Thank you.
